We were contacted by Discount Global Travel to attend a presentation in Irvine, CA. For that, we were promised a free trip to Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii, San Francisco or Las Vegas. Well, not only did we sign up for the Discount Global Travel Package, which if it worked like it was presented, would have been good for us, but we signed up for the "free" trip through Superior Promotions.
Well, we used our Discount Global Travel air fare discount twice and got a great discount of $10.00 off of our airfares, never received any ID cards, that we were suppose to receive, and never received our "free" trip from Superior Promotions.
We even paid $200.00 to Superior Promotions so they would "hold" the space for our trip. We selected three dates to go to Cabo San Lucas and received a notice, on the day that we were suppose to leave, that the date wasn't available, so we reapplied for (3) additional dates and have never received any additional word from Discount Global or Superior Promotions.
We called six times and have spoken to several different people, at Discount Global and Superior Promotions and never received our money back or our "free" trip or satisfaction.
Boy, were we stupid. We got ripped off in a big way and we will never believe any other promotional company using this ploy. Surely there has to be a government representative or an organization that can represent the public against companies like these. There must be thousands of individuals that have been ripped off like us, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
