Distinct Advantage, Freedom Gold Online America fast talking hucksters almost ripped me off Ripoff Largo Florida

I received a call yesterday (11/10/05) from a rep who fast talked (literally) about a free $100 gas voucher and $300 dollars in airline vouchers. They implied it had something to do with me participating in a bank survey. I went along until they asked for my checking account number. I balked at first but they pointed out that it's printed on my checks anyway. A little further along I caght some phrase about an account withdrawal. I stopped it right then and informed the salesperson that I was not going to agree to any automatic withdrawals, was not interested in participating in whatever it was they were trying to sell, and hung up the phone. Two minutes later they called back, I said no again and hung up again. I googled them and came up with this site and saw another report. Thank you for posting it. I'm going to call my bank and alert them.
