I contacted DNA speedometer to fix a speedometer for a Ferrari. They claimed they did several Ferrari's before and could fix it without a doubt. I told them the car is not driveable and they said as long as I bring them the speedo, they can fix it. They quoted me a very steep 350$, probably because its a Ferrari, none the less I agreed. After the fix I took the speedo home and it didnt work. They said bring it back in and they will fix it, I did just that. After dropping it off they called me about 1 hour later said they wanted me to pull out my speedo sending unit located in the transmission. I did so, they tested it and said it was bad. I then ordered a new sending unit at 150$, and wow agian the speedo wont work. After research I found out from the Ferrari dealership that the electronic part they made to fix my speedo was shorting the entire system in my car. So I had my speedo fixed from a certified Ferrari dealer. Now I had to buy another sending unit, now I spent a total of 300$ plus having the speedo fixed by another company. So I stopped payment on the check to DNA. They then called me about it, I told them not only that I wouldnt pay them but I found out that it was made with used electronic components. They then claimed I should pay them since they at least fixed the odometer, I told them interesting enough there was nothing wrong with the odometer, only the speed part wasnt working properly. Then several weeks later I got a call from the sherrifs office, they filed complaints for odometer fraud, as revenge for the stop payment. Luckily I had all the cars service records which prove the cars current mileage. If you see this company I suggest STAY AWAY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!! The strong arm tactics and lies they use are not worth it!

I have used DNA Speedometer to repair at least 30 speedometers since 2008.  They have always went out of their way to provide excellent customer service and a very good product.  Could not be happier doing business with them.

I have been in the automotive aftermarket my entire adult life. I have used DNA speedometers only only a handfull of times, however each time I have been MORE than satisfied with the work they done for me. They have even sent me special gears and motors to fix a few myself, when NOBODY else in the country would....I recommend these guys to anyone and everyone.............

Great Company with Great Customer Care!

I recently sent in a gauge cluster for a 1993 Mazda RX-7. I had been having trouble getting any response from any of my gauges and thought the cluster might be dead. I called and spoke to Andrew who let me know up front that there are times when the gauge cannot be repaired and that they would not charge me if they didn't feel comfortable doing the work on it. I got the cluster sent out and gave them a list of things I wanted to have them check.

After giving them some time to check over the cluster I gave them a call to see what the status was (they always respond to calling much better than email). At this point I am fully expecting that I could pay for all sorts of repairs to the cluster, but Andrew was very upfront and told me the cluster is in good working condition and that no repairs have to be made. They sent the cluster back to me and with some troubleshooting on the wiring side of the car, I have working gauges again. Any time I have any gauge cluster problems this is the first place I will consult and send my parts to.

Thanks again Andrew!

From a VERY Satisfied Customer

I sent my 1998 Nissan Pathfinder speedometer unit with multiple issues in to DNA Speedometers for repair, and received amazing customer service. Shipped it on Tuesday, and I had it back fully refurbished and working like new on Friday. Andrew was excellent on the phone explaining to me how to package and ship my unit, and assuring me that it was in good hands.

The complaint sounds unwarranted, and must be a unique experience. I have only good things to say about mine, and have already recommended DNA Speedometers to two of my friends who are automotive service professionals. I must say, they do some sort of magic over there for the low price they charge, and the service is outstanding. Highly recommended!

Highly Recomended!

I am an RV Dealer in TN. I have a unit in for repair with Spedo issues. I searched the internet for repair facilitys and found DNA and several others. I spoke with DNA, told them my issues and they quoted a price and turn around time. I also contacted other service providers and decided to go with DNA, because of price, and the questions they ask befor they stated they could fix it, and quoted the price.

I shipped the Cluster to them for repair. I got a phone call from DNA stating that my problem was not in the Cluster. They gave me some areas to check on the Motor Home and stated there would be no charge for what they had done.

I just recevied the unit back from DNA by Fed-X. Included was a note stating what was done marked N/C, and they paid the return shipping
I have been in business for 40 years and IT DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!
They will get all of my business and the local Ford Dealer's also.

Dear Readers,

A customer made me aware of this report made a while back. I do recall who this individual was and I would like a moment to tell you our side. Unable to fix his unit, Ben brought his Ferrari speedometer to our shop for repairs. We ended up quoting him $350 because many of the original parts were fried either by him or his car. After analyzing his circuitboard, we concluded that we would be unable to fix the problem but to make something that would work instead and carry the same functions as speedometer and odometer. He authorized us to proceed. We made a design and made him a circuitboard for his unit. After it being finished, we demonstrated it working on our bench with signal. He paid us with a check. The next day, he called claiming it didn't work. So I told him to bring it in again to check it. Again, we tested it in front of him. Everything worked fine. Three more days I found a notice in my bank account that he had stopped payment on his check. We proceeded to call and call and call. Finally, he had someone act as a lawyer call our office saying that the speedometer had ruined his electrical system in his vehicle. Now the speedometer works as a receiver. The correct ground and power will turn it on and signal will make it work. You have to give it these things. We told that somebody that we never got one cent from him because he stopped payment. He never called back. Well this went on further more for about 6 months of not answering his calls. We were very concerned. We had put in three business days and no payment. Finally we sent him to collections. The collections agency was ordered to either collect money or our parts. We got our actually got our parts back.

To conclude, we would have been happy to have provided him with a full refund being that our work didn't work for him. There was no need to act the way he did by stopping the check. We strive daily for good business and thus more business. In reality, we never ripped him off. We treated him with respect and even suggested to help him in any way we could. We not only do repairs but we troubleshoot vehicle's in our facilities with speedometer and odometer issues or other gauge issues. We are a family-owned business. I hope that reading this information will clear things up on this website.

I'll be happy to answer any questions. Our local number is 813-875-8226 or toll-free 1-888-495-2777 or email dnaspeedometers@hotmail.com.
