The Do Not Call list is a waste of time and does not work! Another tax payer rip off agency. I have just spent and hour on the phone with the FTC after receiving a very brazen call for an elder credit card scam that I have reported repeatedly to the DO NOT CALL list. For once we had a phone number, which usually does not show, so I tracked down the people at the DO NOT CALL list and talked to a supervisor and a manager there, so said they can not do anteing with the number! The guy form he scam company actually said to me exactly the following worlds, "Good! Good! Go ahead and report us. See what they do!" So, I took this extra step to actually contact someone I thought might actually take the less than hour old number and try to trace it back, and they did NOTHING to stop one of the biggest continuous scams of elders in our country! Who is in who's pocket? Seems clear to me!
