docdeals.net is a rip off! Owner Mark Levine is a Chiropractor not a certified medical electronic repair technition. I sent my Acuscope 85p to his address. He told me he had 18 years experience doing this. He ordered a new battery for this machine before my payment. He did not disclose in our conversation how payment was to be paid. He called me right after the machine was delivered because he did not have payment. Talking with Mark he did not take a check, visa, bank draft or debit card. He usually has people pay by cashiers check. We were able to do payment by pay pal. I received another call shortly after Mark received payment because he installed the battery and the machine would not work. He did not have any means to diagnostically check what was wrong with my machine. After talking to a few distributors of the acuscope they told me the machine was not able to be repaired by what Mark abservations.

I emailed Mark and told him what the acuscope distributor had said and he replied he would not be able to give me a refund because he serviced the acuscope by putting the battery in it and specially ordered the battery. So he will not give me a refund.

Mark Levine did not disclose that he was not a certified medical repair technition, his website states he can run diagnostics for an extra cost. He did not state that there would not be a refund if the machine could not be repaired. After having the 85p delivered and worked on he told me he could not run a diagnostic on it and to send it to a distributer/dealer. Mark did not have me sign anything stating the yay's and bay's about his services.

Do not have your medical equipment repaired by docdeals.net owner Mark Levine Because if you think you are saving money think again. It will cost you twice as much after sending it to a qualified dealer after he has taken you to the bank with His fraudulent business.

And her story changes AGAIN

AUTHOR: Dr. Mark - (United States of America)

Really this is getting old. You sent me a broken machine and you received a broken machine back with a new battery. The battery receipt from a MEDICAL SUPPLY battery manufacturer is available for anyone to review.  You bought some piece of burned up crap from eBay (WHICH I NOTED HAD A BLOWN FUSE BEFORE I TOUCHED IT- LOOK AT THE EMAIL AND THE DATES AND TIMES WRITTEN). You try to pull a fast one on me by having me overnight the battery BEFORE you paid for it, YOU didn't include return shipping and YOU then accuse me of nonsense. At least I'm smart enough to keep photos of the HUNDREDS of units I've worked on, INCLUDING YOURS.

You lied! Again!

AUTHOR: - ()

I am going by what the professionals who manufacturing the 85P said about you ruining the machine. The machine didn't work when I sent the 85P to you. The reason why I chose you was your price was cheap and supposedly you worked with many Acuscope/myopulse 85P's. You were to replace the battery and check to see if your battery work in the 85P. The manufacturer told me when you placed the battery (not a certified 85P manufacturers battery) that you ordered to put in my 85P was placed and hooked into my machine fried all the components in my machine.

The manufacturer said when you place a non-certified battery into the 85P this process of melting the components (computer board) happens. I am going by what the manufacturer told me. Also, when they repaired the 85P it contained the battery that was originally put in by the manufacturer. Your battery that you said you used was not in my machine. So what I have to say is "Don't always look for a deal that will save you money because it will cost you a lot more in the long time!"

Now her story changes 2 years later

AUTHOR: Dr. Mark - (United States of America)

You sent me a non-working unit and that's what I sent back to you with a new battery made specifically for you by a medical supply battery company. I not only still have the hand-written note you included but also the pictures documenting the serial numbers on the outside AND the inside of the unit. You know nothing of my electronics background or certifications, so I'll not take the time to refute that. So what part of this, the DISCLAIMER that prominently is displayed on the website... did you not understand? "Service includes disposal/recycling of old battery, new connectors, all switches are de-oxidized, output calibration checked, output checked, charger checked, new connector installed (if needed). All services are pre-paid and non-refundable if your unit does not work. PLEASE do not send me a unit that you know doesn't work expecting a battery alone will fix it. Send me a broken unit with a dead battery, you will get back a broken unit with a working battery. This is a battery service only, not a repair service. Acuscope Myopulse Myoscope Neuroscope 48 Hour turn around Battery Replacement" AND FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH - since you finally paid by Paypal, had you felt you were "Ripped Off"...why did you not file a complaint with Paypal?? Because the policy is clear as stated above and you would have lost. You tried to pull a fast one on me. The battery was dated 2005. A medical instrument that had not been serviced in 8 years. The unit did not work before you sent it and that's how you got it back - period.

Really?!

AUTHOR: - ()

Mark Levine accepted my machine fore repair. He said he replaced my battery and the machine would not work. I asked him if he would take the new battery out and return my machine. Mr. Levine said he couldn't take the battery out once it was replace and could not return it because it was a special order. After my 85p was returned, no refund, I found an official certified group to replace it. I was told that the battery that he used to try to replace fried the inside of my machine! It cost me an extra $2000+ to repair it. The so called battery that Mr.Levine couldn't or wouldn't take out was not in my machine! So the new battery he tried to install, fried my machine, was not in my machine when a certified group was able to repair my machine. What happened to the $700+ battery that you said you put in my machine?! Bait and switch!!

Let's set the record straight

AUTHOR: Dr. Mark - (United States of America)

Not having heard anything of this complaint from over 2 years ago and having just seen it for the first time today, let's set the record straight by looking at the email correspondence. They read from the bottom up. I provide a battery replacement service, I do not service non-working units. It's plainly displayed on my web page. She was told in no uncertain terms that because I special order each and every battery, they are not returnable and service is pre-paid. She tried to push me into not paying until it was certain I had the battery, and to accommodate, I had it sent express. Now you can see why she was in a hurry, She didn't know if the unit worked or not (I have the note she included with the unit...conveniently not including payment as she was instructed to do prior) and the factory service would have been way more than she paid.. edited only to remove email and phone numbers per guidelines---------------------------------------------  picked up

The unit has been repacked for return. As I advised you by phone, the only service I provide is what I did, swap out the battery pack. I invest the same time and effort on a unit sent to me that is known to be good as one that is like yours, that's why I asked you when was the last time it was used. I understand your disappointment. Cc: Sent: Saturday, September 21, 2013 12:53 PM Subject: Re: Acuscope Mark Talking to a representative of the 85p this unit cannot be revived. I don't need the battery because it can't be revived. Please give me your address so I can have it picked up Monday. This was not the out come I was looking for. Michelle Sent from my iPhone On Sep 20, 2013, at 7:50 PM, "Mark Levine, D.C." ................> wrote: Michelle: After we spoke, I went ahead and checked the unit. I checked the charger and it is fine, however, I was concerned because I found the fuse blown on the charging circuit in the unit. The fuse is only in line when the unit is on charge. This tells me that when last charged, something inside drew more current than it was supposed to. This can be from a bad charging component or a shorted battery. I went ahead and changed the battery which had not been replaced since 2005 The bad news: The unit does not turn on. The battery does not charge.

The relay does not actuate and the unit will not turn on despite having a brand new battery. The circuit boards look OK though somewhat oxidized. There was no unusual odor as when the batteries have leaked or circuit components have burned. Since the service I provide is simply changing the battery, and I do not do repairs, I would recommend you contact a dealer and have it looked at by the Acuscope repair. Whether it is worth investing any further in getting it working, I can't say except to consider a working 85P has about a $2500 to $4000 value. The only consolation I can offer is at least you saved several hundred dollars by my replacing the batteries. I know this is a disappointment and I sincerely wish I had more to offer. Having the batteries overnighted to me ate up nearly the entire margin. I so wanted to get it back to you right away. Call me tomorrow if I can provide any further info. It can be picked up Mon Tues or Friday next week. (Wednesday is surgery and Thursday the day after appt). Mark
