Dr. Mark S Friederich DM Dr Friederich is a ripoff - Does not follow insurance guidelines and does horrible work Troy Illinois

I went to visit Dr. Friederich of Troy, IL to have a long awaited bridge done. I was very specific of what I wanted - and that his office call both insurance companies that I had to verify that they covered this procedure and what my out of pocket expense would be. I was told this was done. I was even shown the figures. I went in to have the impression taken for my bridge.

When I went back to have this procedure done I was given shots to numb and then my two teeth were drilled down, the next thing I know Dr. Friederich is showing me not a bridge but two teeth as crowns that was made to cover my missing tooth. I was told this was to save money. These teeth look horrible and I have a gap at the bottom. Best of all one of the insurance companies did not cover this procedure. They now have my account in collections and on my credit report.

I have spoke with my insurance company who has records that this office never called for pre approval. I also have a copy of a very unprofessional letter sent to the dentist office appealing the claim - in this letter is states that they did this procedure to save money. Save money so they could do all the extra dental work that I needed. Very selfish on his part. My husband also had a cap done on one of his front teeth that is so bad that it sticks out and does not look like it even belongs.

We both will now have to visit a different dentist to fix what he did wrong. This will be an expense out of our pockets as the insurance companies will not pay double on the same procedure.

Also the bill that they have sent to collections includes charges for my husband procedures which is against the law to report it as my responsibilty and it is also againts the Privacy Act as he is over 18 and his medical information can not be released to anyone without his written consent.

Please if you are looking for a dentist - Do not go to him.
