I had the same bad experience of the Buick guy. They take apart the car to discourage you to have it back, then the dance of the inflated bills begin. My estimation was about $ 20,000 but grew up to an incredible $ 70,000 !! They lost parts of my car , the restoration last forever and the result was a poor paint job , Mexican style. I spoke with Dragone`s workers and they complain about the organization and the working condition. The company don`t even have a paint booth, just "paint room: with some fans...what a shame ! Also I learn that mr. Dragone is been involved in a $ 8 millions car scam ( as reported on Connecticut Post, June 22, 2003 ) So , if you like to loose your money, been involved in a never end so called "restoration" and have your classic vandalized go see Manny.

I am Mannys son and the comment above has recently been brought to my attention. The person who wrote the above comment is either a disgruntled ex-salesman/ broker or competitor and has never been a customer of Dragone Classic Motorcars. Whoever you are that wrote that comment should do three things: post who you actually are, what car it is that we apparently did a "Mexican style" paint job on, and you should try not to plagiarize other people's simple minded stupid complaints. We would never and have never given an estimate for $20,000 dollars and charged over $70,000!! If you make up a complaint at least make it believable. Our spray booths are completely acceptable, as those spray booths have given paint jobs to cars that have won a first place prize at every concours d 'elegance across the country and Europe including Pebble Beach and Amelia Island. Also, the employees are extremely proud to work for our company and for most it is a dream job to work on the cars they get to work on every day. Keep in mind this is a very tight nit family run business and i grew up around all the great guys that work for us and I am very proud to say that our turnover rate is extremely low. We have guys still working for us that started when my dad and uncle went into business 35 years ago. As for the "car scam" you speak of, you sir, need to get your facts in order. We were involved in a car scam accept we were the "scammed" not the "scammer". My dad agreed to buy the worlds largest collection of vintage Ferraris site unseen in Italy by the word of a broker. He wired the money only to learn that the collection of Ferraris was never for sale and the money that he wired was gone. And yes it was millions. But, we are still in business despite the very large financial blow, and stronger than ever. That should say something about Dragone Classic Motorcars and our work. Also, one last comment, if you are going to try and make a credible complaint at least write with proper grammar and not like a degenerate, or as you would put it: "Mexican style". As Winston Churchill once said: "The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is."
