Alia list several attorneys, in different states, on his legal documents. I have contacted several of those attorneys just to see if they are in fact associated with The Foreclosure Law Center. Some said they were unaware that their name was being used on FLC legal documents. Here's what one attorney replied in an email; ( attorney name not included for obvious reasons)

Thank you for alerting me to the fact that my name is still associated with The Foreclosure Law Center. I alerted them MONTHS ago that I no longer wished to be associated with the group, and as far as I’m concerned, I no longer am.

I will follow up with them once again to make sure my name gets removed.

Thank you!

Now, this takes some real cajones! It's not enough to deceive the general public...Alia will use his fellow attorneys too! This is crazy!

Truth be told

AUTHOR: Jane C - ()

POSTED: Saturday, November 09, 2013

If the truth be told...loan modification rescue companys can do nothing that the consumer can't do for themselves. All they can do is submit your paperwork for you. That's it! Oh, yes, they can ( and do) also steal your money.

Once a Scam Artist Always A Scam Artist - A Name Change Means Nothing

AUTHOR: Tami - ()

POSTED: Saturday, October 26, 2013

I have waited a long time to submit a reply or rebuttal to all the posts on this website and many others.  I have so much to say and hope this comes out organized and logical.  First, there are many victims of this scam.  What kind of low-life would prey upon people reaching out for assistance?  The answer is clear, only scam artists.  Home owners that were facing one of the hardest times in their lives reached out to what was supposed to be a legitimate law office that would provide not only assistance with loan modifications but also a rigorous defense.  As many of the victims found out, there was no rigorous defense.  There wasn't even an entry of appearance on their behalf.  Once the Foreclosure Law Center sunk their greedy teeth in, the homeowner was stuck.  Many took money that should have been applied to their past due mortgages and fed it to the ogres that claim they are from Philadelphia in a huge law office.  The homeowner then felt like they were stuck in this rut.  Hearing one broken promise after another or one excuse after another why nothing had been done.  When it comes down to the wire, the Foreclosure Law Center instructs the homeowner to file multiple incomplete bankruptcies to give them time.  Looking back now, many of us would agree that if this was a legitimate firm, they would have filed the bankruptcy on our behalf.  It wouldn't have been incomplete but a sincere effort to help the homeowner.  The victims in this case got nothing except paymets debited out of their accounts by GMK Solutions.

In a previous post, their is an attorney form the new law center posting.  He states that GMK Solutions is a payroll company.  Does that mean Foreclosure Law Center was using our money to fund their payroll? They certainly didn't do any work to earn the money.  Or could it be we were all mistakely employees on the payroll and inadvertently had our accounts debited instead of credited????  In either scenario, no homeowner profited like the owners of GMK Solutions, Foreclosure Law Center, or now the Century Legal Group.  If we were considered employeees and GMK is actually a payroll company, please pay us our fees immediately.  We were dedicated clients or employees in your eyes that believed in you and your lies.

Century Legal Group insists they have no ties to the Foreclosure Law Center as you can see by the recent post.  Funny, a check with the PA Business license search shows that Mark Goldstein owns both companies.  Both companies are at the same address and both companies have the same phone numbers.  BUT, they want everyone to believe that they are not affiliated with one another.  Ok, sure.  If you tell us that and you put it on the Internet, it must be true then, right???  LOL  We may have fllen for it once, but I don't think we can fall for it twice.  Trying to state GMK is merely a payroll company has to be the laugh of the century.

Instead of concocting stories that just aren't true, it would be more prudent to correct your errors.  Show the consumers you have changed your ways and you want to do the right thing.  That can be accomplished by first, stop telling lies.  Secondly, by righting the wrongs you have done in the past.  Don't hide behind a new name.  Century Legal Group came into existence at the end of August 2013.  The managing attorney from Foreclosure Law Center was administratively suspended at this exact time.  Per Century Legal Group's advertisement, they have helped "thousands" of homeowners.  Ummmm, ok.  You have been in opertion for less than 2 months but you have helped thousands.  A loan modification and your "forensic audit" takes weeks to complete but since you are obviously the SuperStars, you have found a way to circumvent the process and get thousands loan modifications.  Once again, it is on the Internet, therefore it must be true.  LOL.

Shall we discuss forensic audits?  I tell everyone to google those words.  Forensic audit means scam alert.  Run far and fast if you hear those words.  Another inkling something could be amiss is payments.  No payments should be taken unless they have done the work for a loan modification or they really enter their appearance as a defense attorney.  Foreclosure Law Center has done neither and would be willing to bet that Century Legal Group does not enter their appearance in any case either.

I think another question we should all be asking is how a "non-attorney" can own and operate a law center.  If you are advertising to be a law center or a legal group, consumers are led to believe that this is owned and operated by a lawyer.  The owner of both Foreclosure Law Center and Century Legal Group is not an attorney.  Yes, he hires attorneys but they are not the owners of the organization or business.

So, as I close this rebuttal, consumers ask that you stop lying and please for once tell the truth.  We applaud the states of Washington and Connecticut for standing up for their consumers and putting Foreclosure Law Center/Alia Law Group out of business in their states.  There are still 48 more states that need to take the same action.

Coincidence?

AUTHOR: Freddie - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, October 23, 2013

Is it a coincidence that Century Legal Group uses the same address as Drew Alia and the Foreclosure Law Center?  Is it a coincidence that Century Legal Group has the same phone number as the Foreclosure Law Center and Drew Alia?  Is it a coincidence tht Mark Goldstein dba GMK Solutions is the owner of both of these compnaies?  Yet, you want us to believe that the companies are not interrelated.

Truth is that Drew Alia has his law license administratively suspended and a new attorney was needed.  Due to the complaints, it was easier to try a "fresh" start.

As many articles point out, consumers beware when the term "forensic audit" is used.  It usually is a nice way of saying scam alert.

Century Legal Group Is Not Connected To Alia or Foreclosure Law Center

AUTHOR: J. Kutkowski, Esq. - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, October 23, 2013

Just an FYI, Century Legal Group launched in September 2013, the events indicated here apparently pre-date our existence.

We are located in 1518 Walnut Street on the 11th floor.  To my knowledge there are two other mortgage modification entities in our building.  The building is a high-rise.

GMK Solutions is a payroll company.  They were our payroll company but we are switching to ADP.

Drew Alia does not and has not ever worked for Century Legal Group.

In every state we work in, we have a licensed attorney who supervises the work being done and is available to take a phone call from a client if other legal issues arise.  We also follow MARS, which is the body of laws that mortgage modification entites must follow.  The most important part of MARS is not taking payment up front.  We start the work for you and if you don't like what we are doing for you, you are free to cancel our services.  It is against the law to take a service fee prior to doing the work!  We do not break the law!

We do use forensic auditing and qualified written requests as part of tactics to help creditors get modifications, and while it is true that you can do these things yourself, you can also take your own spleen out if you want to, it doesn't make it a great idea.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding work Century Legal Group has done, feel free to reach me at 215-732-1010 x140.  If you have issues with work those other entities have been involved with, you need to take it up with them.

And history repeats itself - Foreclosure Law Center is now Century Legal Group

AUTHOR: Freddie - ()

POSTED: Thursday, September 26, 2013

After reading the numerous complaints about the Foreclosure Law Center, Drew Alia, and GMK Solutions, it is important that everyone that was a victim stand together.  I am sure there are many more victims than those that have resorted to searching out the truth behind this organization.  After doing my own research, it is probably safe to say that any loan modification company that takes money to conduct a forensic audit is a fraud and a scam.  Consumers beware!  This particular company, Foreclosure Law Center, Drew Alia, and GMK Solutions have been ordered to cease business in the state of Washington and the state of Connecticut.  Washington has fined this company and individuals close to $100,000 that was due and payable in May 2013.  Needless to say, it hasn't been paid.

Take the time to google the firm and participants. The managing attorney was arrested for assualt, carrying a firearm and drug charges.  It is true that the charges were dismissed due to the witness failing to appear.  The troubles were not over for this person however.  Currently, there is an ongoing civil suit for a returned check.  What looked like a cut and dry case has expanded.  A third defendant was added andnow claims of the check being stolen but properly signed.  According to court documents, the person who cashed the check says it was an agreement between the managing attorney(to cash the bad check and share the proceeds).  This is not the type of person you would want handling your loan mods.

Digging a little deeper, the managing attorney has been placed on administrative suspension by the disciplinary committee.  He can no longer participate as an attorney in any loan modification including loan modification scams.

To get around the cease and desist orders, Foreclosure Law Center's owner has opened a new company.  Same address - different name.  Century Legal Group has filled the empty shoes of the Foreclosure Law Center.  There is a new managing attorney but the owner has not changed.

Everything written here can be verified through google.  The Pennsylvania Disciplinary committee has a website to look up attorneys.  Court records for Philadelphia can be acccessed by typing in the search for Philadelphia court records.  Business license checks can be obtained by google PA Business search.

As much as homeowners want to believe in firms such as these, it is important to remember tht you will be best served by working with your lender or a government agency.

Good Question! OAG and FTC...

AUTHOR: Tom, Dick & Harry - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, June 12, 2013

It is indeed perplexing! After these fraudsters operating for approximately 3 years, there just has to be hundreds of complaints  filed with the FTC and the OAG ( Office of The Attorney General). Yet, they (FLC, Drew Alia, GMK Solutions) continue to operate through the US.

Why not call and ask them? Why not call and ask them how these known frauds are allowed to continue scamming people!  We have a right to know. Who pays their salary? We do! They work for us right?

AUTHOR: karmaisab*tch - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, June 12, 2013

I just looked at your report as well as the Foreclosure Law Scam Facebook Page. Why is this guy still allowed to do business? His bad business dealings go back to 2011 and probably further. There's a darn Whistleblower suit against him. Why haven't federal or state agencies shut this guy down? Hopefully someone of authority is looking at RipOffReport and taking notes. WE DEMAND THAT YOU START TO TAKE SOME ACTION AGAINST THE MAN/COMPANY. THE WHISTLEBLOWER SUIT WAS FILED IN 2011 AND THEN THE CT BANKING COMMISSION MESS. WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO GET HIM SHUT DOWN.

FEDERAL AND STATE AUTHORITIES/AGENCIES HAVE ALLOWED HIM TO CONTINUE CONDUCTING BUSINESS WHICH MEANS ALIA'S POCKETS ARE BEING LINED WITH MORE MONEY FROM VICTIMS. SHAME ON ALL THOSE AGENCIES THAT ARE SITTING BACK AND DOING NOTHING WHILE PEOPLE LOSE THEIR MONEY, HOMES AND THEIR DIGNITY. YOU ARE ALMOST AS GUILTY AS ALIA FOR ALLOWING IT TO GO ON. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! WE'RE DONE ASKING, WE ARE NOW DEMANDING IT
