I brought my 2000 Ford Explorer to the location on louetta road to have the timing set. After they were done with the job, Truck was making a loud tapping noise which it was not making before and additional cylinders were not getting compression. Two cylinders read 0 psi and one read 75psi.

He then tried to advise me to replace the engine. I decided against it seeing as how they already charged me more than what the dealership would have charged me to do the timing job. I then asked if he could check the timing and he refused, grew very irritable, and told me that his work was fool proof.

They charged me 1,368.74 to set the timing which is well above the dealership's price. I asked him to tell me what I was being charged for and he grew more and more irritated and over talked in a loud voice as he said there was 10 hrs labor at 119.65/hr and a $63.99 supply charge. Even this adds up to 1260.49 so I inquired about that. He (The guy’s name is Andy) then said all I need to know is bring him 868.74 (I had already paid $500) or he is keeping my truck.

Appalled at his comment and the fact that he was raising his voice at me, I asked him to speak to his manager because I didn't not want to argue with him. He then told me that he is the general manager and there is no one over him that I needed to talk to. So I asked him who is the owner and he replied "That is none of your concern. You just need to bring me $868 or I'm keeping your truck. I'm not going to have you sit here and nickel and dime the price you were charged." I told him I'm picking my truck up and I'm going to find out who is over him and report the conversation. He said that's fine and we hung up.

I should have thought different about leaving my truck there when he told me he didn't have the tools to do the job and would have to borrow them from another shop. I called another location to try to ask for someone to report this to and I'm currently waiting for a call back to report his attitude and that my truck has issues now that it didn't have before.

I will not return to this shop or any of its branches. If they wrong you, they do not own up to their mistakes. The GM has very poor character and low integrity. That's not a good choice of a person to have in management and I found out through www.demandforce.com that the GM (Andy) has quite a few reviews of the same nature with other customers.
