hello my name is brandon i seen the great adds on tv about drivetime so one day i decided to check the dealership out a sales man named brad was very friendly and was really helpful on picking out a vehicle.  After walking around the lot he told me i had only five to choose from.  It was not a big selection, but i just started a job at wendy's and i needed transportation.  They said that they could get me into a reasonable payment that was affordable.  We decided on 211.21 biweekly.  Well needless to say i purchased the vehicle back on 11/3/2012 and i have had to do a lot of repairs.  They SOLD ME A LEMON!! i've had to get new tires and i've also had to change my brakes needless to say i had to put in a new oxygen sensor as well all these repairs came to around 1100$$ this has put a real hardship on me and my family and the people in mesa are so RUDE! they call me 30 times a day and they always are asking me for payments! they are stressing me out and making my life a nightmare! This woman in mesa named shavonda told me that she would work with me even though my account is 87 days past due! and she lied! two days ago my car was picked up!!!! now they tell me i have seven days to pay or my vehicle is going to auction! all they do is lie over there telling me they would work with me i had to get repairs on my vehicle back in feb and i just have not been able to catch up! PLEASE HELP! I NEED MY CAR BACK! why would they tell me they would work with me and then a month later pick my vehicle up?

Did you obtain an Albuquerque bus schedule or does the new TV get better gas mileage than the car?  Now you get to watch the DriveTime commercials on your new TV.

If you understand you signed a contract then what is the problem?

You say they didn't work with you..what you should be saying is that they didn't do what you wanted.  That is a big difference.

You bought the car in November 2012 and within a year you were already almost 3 months delinquent.  That's right they gave you 87 days to get caught up.  They were working with you..after all they actually had the legal right to reposess your car as soon as you became delinquent.

You were 87 days past due and at $211 bi-weekly, you are past due about 6 Weeks, or just over $1200.  Here is some news for you..when they offered to accept only $400 they were trying to work with you by accepting over $800 less.  But what did you do with this help?  You tried to get them down to $300, when they said that wasn't enough you went out and bought a TV then turned around and offered them $100 LESS.

If you really did go out and buy a TV you actually deserve everything that is coming to you.  Because if you don't come up with the money to get the car back they will sell it at auction.  It will be sold for about 1/3 of it's actual "value".  YOU are still responsible for the loan balance.  If you fail to pay that amount you will be turned over to collections, and may eventually be sued.  If you give the judge the same story you wrote here, you are going to get a nice 60 minute lecture on responsibility, right before he enters a judgement against you.  Once that is done, depending on your State you can expect to have your wages garnished or your bank accounts attached.

Oh and not even mentioning that if you thought that this was a bad dealer, wait until you see the type of dealers you get to deal with when you have a reposession on your credit.

You bought a used car without having it inspected my a mechanic which could have saved you alot of money.  You fell behind one your payments therefore they had the right to repossess the vehicle.  YOU signed the contract - did you not read it?? This is your fault so deal with it.

I for one despise these car lots and I would never purchase a candy bar from them - they are slim BUT you have a contract and failed to live up to the obligations of the contract.
