Drug Transport, Inc DTI Decieved Carriers Tucker Georgia

On 7-11-2014 we called Drug Transport to inquire about a load posted on a loadboard. Both parties agreed to the negociated terms and moved onto the next step. This was the first load we would haul for Drug Transport, therefore we had to fill out the normal new carrier packet, send them all necessary documents and name Drug Tranport as a Cert. holder with our ins. company. We are a small company and do not use a factoring company. As a rule of thumb i check a new brokers credit history before negociating on a potential load and also call the Accounts payable dept. to find out their payment options. Since we are a small company, I usually do not wait the 30 days and sometimes more, normally I opt to use their quickpay option usually for a small fee. In this case, Drug Transport said they only offer the 30 day pay period. But due to the fact they had a  higher than 98 credit score, i didnt feel they were a risk.

On Aug. 9th I called the accounts payable department to make sure payment was scheduled on time, no return call nor email, i called several times. Finally on Aug 12th i got a response saying that Drug Transport filed Bankruptcy and we would not be getting paid! They negociated a load to be pulled knowing they would not be paying us for our services, knowing they were filing bankruptcy on 8-11-14, they took advantage, and they stole from us. This should be illegal, if a company knows bankruptcy is where they are heading, that should be the end of it, dont drag other companies into your problems. I have tried to contact the lawyer involved with no response, i have tried to contact the owners with no response, and of course when i do get one from other email attempts, its always "we have filed bankruptcy" 500.00 i'm sure isnt much to DTI but it sure is to me!

They are now called GST, dont know yet what that stands for but i can assure you we will not be hauling for them and neither should you!
