Dun & Bradstreet is calling businesses and attempting to extort money to make their D&B report accurate.

The conversation I just had with Michael Gallego (GallegoM@DNB.com) shocked me for such a formerly reputable company. Michael informed me that he was my account executive and there had been several inquiries into my our D&B report. It showed a very old lawsuit, a payment history score which could be improved if he looked into it, and very low credit lines. He said that he would "work on my file" for a fee of $449. I informed him that are debt free and not in need of credit. He offered to do it today and today only for $359.20. After 3 phone calls from him, I declined his offer and expressed that the D&B information should be accurate all of the time and not contingent on me paying for them to correct it. They charge companies to release the information. Why wouldn't it be accurate?

I will not pay, nor will I ever trust D&B information for my business.
