This is regarding a recipe program. I bought their product when it was version 8. I have always upgraded. Their latest version - 12, allow(ed) you to install the app on 2 different PC's an unlimited number of smart phones and capture or import an unlimited number of recipes from the web.

You could add a recipe at one computer and it would automatically synchronize to the other computer and the smart phone apps.

On April 25th I received an email from Dan Oaks, founder, Presedent and CEO telling me that in ONE WEEK, I would have to pay $15.00 a month to continue using their product as advertised. This afternoon, 4:32 PM Pacific Time, May 5th, 2016 I loaded the app and was told:

"To use Cook'n you must sign into a cookn cloud account or create one. If creating a new account, you should do it from the computer or device that has all of your recipes. Would you like to do this now?

My options are Yes and No. If I click no, the application closes. Completely!!!

I, who bought and paid for their program no longer get free support, but I see no where what the cost of support is!

They call it their "Premium" service. Whereas I WAS able to scan and download unlimited recipes, I am now limited to only 5 per day. Their smart phone app, advertised as FREE will no longer work because it can't synchronize.

Their "Terms and Conditions" say the have the right to change the pricing without notice. It does NOT say they can change the entire pricing structure such that the applicaiton is now crippled unless I give them more money for what I already paid for.

Their Terms and Conditions also say the cost will be $10.00 a month, not $15.

The following is a direct copy and paste from the email they sent me when asked for clarification.

"You can still use Cook'n to organize an unlimited number of your personal recipes. You can make menus and grocery shopping lists. You can analyze the nutritional value of any recipe. You can e-mail recipes to family and friends, print a family cookbook, and scale your recipes. You can type in what you have on hand and Cook'n will tell you what you can make for dinner, etc.

Non-subscribers can use Cook'n forever. But, they will not be able to sync unlimited data to the Cook'n Cloud."

What cost me $330.00 over 6 years would cost me $1080.00!!!

They claim they can no longer afford the storage space for the cloud. I have a web-site with unlimited storage space. That claim cannot ber JUSTIFIED!
