on March 30, 2002 I got ripped-off by e-credit solutions, inc. (though I didnt' know it yet at that time).
I received a credit approval notification from them which stated the following, and I quote:
"We are notifying you that your credit card has not been activated.
Our records show this card to have an approved line of credit of $4,000."
Me,being so eager to have had a pre-approved $4k credit card (though I never even bothered to think how I ever got one from this company!), went on to call them. I spoke to a mr. shonski davis and he asked me for such confidential info as my SS#, bank acct#, birthday, (stupid of me!). I even jokingly teased him and said, "how am I to know this is not a scam?" We just both laughed and he reassured me they were legit. yeah right!
He said to wait for the card within 2-3 weeks. it has now been more than a month so I got suspicious and called the tel. numbers on the notification. Boy was I surprised to find out the numbers were no longer in service!!! I checked out the company on the internet and that's how I came across the web site of the "Rip-Off report" and saw the same company address (with a different name) on the report!!!
I was suckered. And now I have had to close my bank account to avoid any possible fraud use. This is just to make YOU aware of how they operate. It may be too late for me BUT IT IS NOT FOR YOU. do not be scammed!
