Beware of e-harmony billing/customer service.  I was having difficulty finding where to turn my automatic renewal off.  I have a job where it is difficult to make telephone calls during business hours.  I sent an e mail to customer service requesting that they cancel my renewal.  I never received a response.  On May 28, 2014, I finally had time to call during business hours.  I reached a customer service representative by telephone.  He turned off my auto renewal upon my request.  He informed me that my account had already been charged the renewal fee for the next month that morning (May 28).  I asked for a refund.  He said he could not authorize the refund since it was against company policy.  I asked for a physical address of where I could send a request for a refund.  He said he would e mail it to me. 

The e mail I received was a standard format stating that my request was submitted to the Trust and Safety Department and I would receive a response within 10 days.  It had no address, phone number, name or link to send an e mail complaint.  

I called e harmony customer service back and asked to speak with a manager (Mike).  I asked Mike for his last name and he refused to give it to me.  I requested a name and address for correspondence.  He said he could not provide me with a last name as that was against company policy.  He gave me a P.O. Box to mail a complaint also with no names available.  I asked him to connect me with the Trust and Safety Department by telephone and he said that was also against company policy.  He informed me that all complaints are handled through e mail only and no names are provided.

I informed him I would be posting my dissatisfaction to consumer complaint sites and dispute the charge with my credit card company.
