The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by the CEO, John Bauer during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases toward eGumball, Inc.

eGumball is a Local Search Marketing provider based out of Southern California. John Bauer, CEO, stated the following in regards to his company, "we are an outsource destination for small businesses who provide local online advertising for their business." With the growing market of online promotion eGumball exceeds the competition by offering multiple services to their clients including: Google and search engine optimization, website development, and promotional products.

Leads for eGumball are primarily acquired through cold calling methods. Once initial interest has been placed Mr. Bauer explained the sales process, "once a contract is provided, signed, and returned there is a three day right of recession period provided at the time of the contact which has to expire before moving forward. The active contract is emailed to them along with their own online portal which they have to agree to our terms and conditions when they get in to the portal." Communication is a valued process for eGumball while developing relationships with their clients, "we strive to get the business the right way. Therefore, we strive to ensure our customers are clear as to what to expect going forward."



CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION FROM eGUMBALL, Inc.

During the onsite interview, Mr. Bauer was asked to describe some of the common complaints that they receive. Mr. Bauer explained that their most common complaint is the turnaround results are not fast enough. In order to combat this, "we educate the client as to what we do as a company. We lay out how long it typically takes Google to show those results, we provide updates, walk them through the steps and try to put the puzzle pieces back together so that they can get a full picture of what's going on."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Bauer explained that most complaints were in reference to miscommunications about their service. Mr. Bauer went on to state, "if a salesperson misrepresented our services to a potential customer, we have recordings of the phone call to go back and verify all escalated customer complaints. We will listen to it, and if the complaint is valid we will rectify it immediately through the appropriate channels. If we find that the customer is not understanding, then we will go through the process of educating the client so that a full understanding and resolution is achieved." In addition, their accreditations include being partners with Google Adwords, and being accredited through the BBB.

eGumball, Incorporated Led to believe that I needed to wait 1.5 months to see more activity, lost 568.00 because I fell out of 30 day refund period. Irvine California


  • I was called one day by a salesman the name of Todd Bartee. He insisted that if I did not have a number of calls from using there seo services on my website, that he would "sweep my front door" as well as refund my investment. I did pay for the service, they said it will take 1.5 months until I start seeing a difference... Well 1.5 months go by, absolutely nothing has occurred and very little increase in site visits... I asked for a full refund, they said you had 30 days to get the refund and I could not get it... WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE, I would not recommend egumball or todd barton or kate settles kate@egumball.com to ANYONE! I am ashamed to say that I did use there services, I do not want what happened to me to happen to other businesses.

Get your LIES Straight. At first you said that I had told you I own 50 businesses now you say I own 30??? Which one is it??? PS Just like I told you from the start.... I don't own any business. I'm a homemaker. I know you are delusional trying to twist things to make everyone else look worng ( just like I predected you would) but you should try to get your story straight.

I also never filed fraudulat charges on the credit card. The credit card was filed for lack of services and not by me. I did however block your numbers from calling me due to the personal threats Rik had made to me over email and phone conversation. Which I have record of. I prefer to do everything in writing for this reason.

Egumball is the one to block my email. If you want to talk through email you still can that is if you unblock the email.

Why would I claim hardship the only hardship I'm dealing with is egumball's scam. I also do not spam just for your record.

Egumball is a professional SCAM Artist. you can find out all about these types of businesses at http://www.ftc.gov/   and please also flie your report there to stop them from doing this to other innocent people.

Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Egumball unless you want to fall for an internet SCAM!!! They have years of experince be very carefull when dealing with this type of SCAM Artist. They will lie, look up personal information about you and BLACK MALE you. They Twist, Minipulate, Lie, Threaten RICO, Police, Feds or what ever it take to get your money and provide NO SERVICES!!!! They truley are a PROFESIONAL SCAM ARTIST! BEWARE!!! You can see how they try to change the subject. Nobody was talking about google laws. I'm talking about your black male, twisting, minipulating and lies. But once again you are either delusional or a Professional SCAM Artist. I belive it's the Professional SCAM Artist option. Once again you are trying to make everyone else wrong but your company.

Just because you can pay for a spot in Inc. magazine does not really make you a fortune 500 company. What you are is a PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTIST!!

You are either a PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTIST or to busy trying to make your horrible reputaion better to actually provide any services. By the looks of it no one has ever seen any results from egumball & if by some miricle they did they would be forever indept to egumball and have to contuine to pay forever. For services that are free. Who wants that???

Marketing your business on Google is "Google's Law"... its called Google Quality Guidelines.  Unless you file 30 federal tax returns you do you not own 30 tree cleaning businesses.

You shouldm't tell your servicing company that a credit card wasn't fraudulently used - this will force a company to file a police report.

You shouldn't block your phone number from your servicing company.

You shouldn't ignore your emails from your servicing company.

You shouldn't ignore your opportunity to be release from agreement with your servicing company for hardships.

You shouldn't spam Google it doesn't work.

Lastly, you should never tell your servicing company that you will either take down reviews or threaten to post reviews in exchange for money.  Its called extortion.

I agree THE WORST EXPERINCE OF MY LIFE!!!! I asked for a refund 30 days into and was unable to get one. I paid $1200.00 for absulutly nothing. They say they could not get a hold of us but our email works just fine. They could of asked the questions via email due to our busy gaveyard lifestyle. I guess that never crossed thier minds. If you are going to do business with them get everything in writing via email DO NOT TALK TO THEM ON THE PHONE. In WRITING ONLY!!! Be very careful what you say to them they will twist,  minipluate and even lie!! Be very careful when dealing with this company. I recommend only corrasponding through email. They are very good at minipluating the sistuation. BEWARE!!! They will bully and threaten you. In thier eyes they are perfect. Hundreds of poeple have taken the time to write reviews and say the same thing ,but we are all wrong. They will respond to every last one saying how perfect they are and everyone else is wrong. It's getting a little suspicious don't ya yhink??? So I'm sure they will respond some crazy thing about this review. Rik did quote "It's his Law" I truley belive he actually belives that. I can only hope one day someone has the time, money and power to finally crush Rik's scam and dishonest laws. I highly recommend you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They will bully you to take down every review and even call it RICO!! I see you are from SLC.
