The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Garrett Harwood during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases toward Eagle Shield Inc.

Eagle Shield Inc is an energy saving solution company that services both homes and businesses. Garrett Harwood stated the following in regards to his company, "we find the best energy saving technology that help people be more comfortable in their home business, and save them money off their utility bills." Eagle Shield does this by providing and using products that have the highest quality and warranty, which are verified through a third party verification company.



Leads for Eagle Shield Inc are primarily generated through television and radio advertising, "as a company we've spent over 7 million dollars in television advertising and radio advertising." They also advertise through door hangers, telemarketing, and home and garden shows. Once a potential client has expressed interest in their services, Eagle Shield Inc will come to their home with their state of the art thermal imaging camera and perform an 18 point audit, "when we are done we give them a print out, and make suggestions of what will make them more comfortable and save money. Then they can pick and choose what solutions fit their budget."

CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION FROM EAGLE SHIELD INC

During the onsite interview, Mr. Harwood was asked to describe some of the common complaints that Eagle Shield Inc receives. While Eagle Shield Inc rarely receives complaints, when they do they typically arises when energy companies raise their rates, or when a customer only does one of the energy saving recommendations that Eagle Shield makes. When a situation like this arises Mr. Harwood always relies on the data, "we go back to the audit, we look at it and we say we recommended this...and you didn’t do it, but your saying your bills haven’t decreased. He [the customer] said yes my bill is exactly the same, I said four years later your bill is exactly the same. Well that proves you saved because I can prove to you PGNE had a 31% rate increase over the past four years, and if your bills are the same you saved a minimum of 31%."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Harwood stated that of 11 complaints posted on the website 4 of them are from competitors, and the additional complaints were along the lines of the previously mentioned complaints. In order to assure future and current customers Mr. Harwood said, "we're the only insulation company in the world endorsed by NASA. We're on NASA's website, we're the featured article in the 2004 NASA spinoff magazine. When you have a multibillion dollar government agency endorsing you, and they care enough to put you on their website hopefully you would believe that we're not a little fly by night company." In addition to this highly esteemed accreditation Eagle Shield Inc has a A+ rating with the BBB, all employee's attend a training program and must pass a test with 95% or higher in order to be hired, "I feel that we have the best ratings that we can for our employees."

Sold us an attic fan at a huge 300% mark-up. It is a good fan, but you can get it (installed) for 1/3 the price Eagle Shield is charging.

We found out that their insulation is a ripoff and opted not to install it. They would not refund out money due to the 3-day period expiration. Instead they offered to install their window film product. The window film comes from American Standard and is does not have any NASA technology in it (lie).

American Standard distributors can install the product for $5 sq ft. Eagle Shield wants $22.85 sq ft. They also misrepresented it as being good for convective heat transfer and it is most commonly used for radiative heat transfer (direct sunlight).

They also finance through GreenSkyCredit which allows contractors to collect money before the product is installed into the customer's home. This means they get their money and you have no recourse but to sue them in court.

Let's put the people out of business.
