I went to purchase a gamecube yesterday. I purchased it at store # 87140 in Portland Oregon. The person helping me was the store manager, Brian. I was in the begining satisfied with my experience. I purchased the gamecube.

However I then decided to purchase 2 games totaling aprox. $35. During the authorizing period of charging my card the machine froze. I waited patiently for 20 minutes while the store manager got it figured out. He them told me that the charge did not go through so he needed to run it again. He did that and I left.

I went to the ATM to withdraw the rest of my cash to get stocking stuffers for christmas. And discovered I did not have the money I thought I had in the bank. I called and found out my card was charged twice.

I then called the store I bought the games from and the manager told me hed need to see a statement showing it went through. I went home and printed the statement and drove back to the store. At that time he said he was not sure if he could do anything and I explained I need this money for christmas and considering it was not my fault that i was overcharged it should be refunded immediatly. He asked me to show him my reciept even though I just showed him my entire bank statement, I went and got him the recipt as I had left it in the car.

When I came back he told me he spoke to someone and not to worry my money should be back in my account the next day and the transaction did not go through. He also gave me a phone number which I called and was told it would take at least a week.

I called the manager back asking him to try to help me and he said he could not. He was insencere, rude, and told me to do things completely unnessesary if he was not going to refund my money anyways.

I do not have much money. I worked hard to come up with the money I had to give my son a good christmas and I am, very upset. Should I have to choose between my sons stocking stuffers and food this week? Christmas week? I should not but now I have to do to a mistake made at your store and noone willing to help me out.

I will let everyone know about this experience. I expect minimumly an apology and my money to be refunded promptly. I will NEVER shop at ANY EBgames again. I made a mistake going there in the first place.

I will be purchasing new games for years to come and never will I spend anymore money at EBgames. I spent almost $200 there yesterday and was treated like trash by the manager.
