Ebates has become a total rip off.  They advertise a store on their website 'knowing the store has a promotion going on and still advertises a 4% cash back'.    This has happened with 2 different stores.  After contacting them by email (4 times) I never heard anything back from them.  Finally I got someone on the phone after 4 different attempts.

I spoke with a lady named Charlotte and then escalated my call to a manager who's was Michael.  They both said they didn't get their commission because the store had a promotion going on.  BS! The stores informed me they did because I contacted them.

Ebates plainly says on their website you will get your Ebates cash back on top of the discount the store offers.  If that is not true , then they need to remove those stores from their list. I've used Couponcactus.com and never had any of these issues before.  Shoppers beware before you trust Ebates.

Ebates is a legitimate business

AUTHOR: Dylan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 18, 2012

Ebates.com offers a free service that allows our members to earn cash-back while shopping on-line at our partner stores.   Ebates earns a commission from our partner stores for each transaction, and we pass a portion of that commission along to our members.  We send this money out as cash on a quarterly basis.    We have been in operation for over 12 years, sending out millions of dollars to satisfied members.

Though I do not have Jerrys full name or email address, it appears that Jerry shopped at a store and commission was not earned by Ebates.   Per our terms and conditions of membership, this would cause Jerry to not be eligible to earn cash-back through Ebates his/her order.  When this happens we contact the store on Jerrys behalf to try to earn credit, but we were denied.

We too would have liked to have earned credit for this transaction.

Our customer service team is always willing to continue discussions with our members.  Often an compromise can be reached.   We are sorry to see that RipOffReport.com was contacted about this issue.

Sincerely,
Ebates.com
