Skyline signatures Fraud signatures

AUTHOR: Kenneth - ()

 Hi

I'm a victim of this Skylinesignatures guy-Eric/Mark Fogelfis.

I bought 2 terry Richardsson signed prints that obviously were fake.i contacted Terry Richardsson Studio and the confirmed it.Paypal granted my complaints.

I have also filed a negative(at last !!!) report on him at E-bay.

Also beware if You complain on him to Paypal, he is trying to get You to return objects to a false adress  and afterwards he claim he never got the  returns. Then it doesn't matter if You can prove Your returns since Pappal has a rule that ONLY the registered adress is appproved for returns.

Never buy from this guy.

This Is False

AUTHOR: Shelbyyyy - ()

You have no proof to the statement you are saying. Skyline Signatures is a very good place to get signatures on ebay. They have not one bad review. It seems a bit odd that this is the only neagtive thing I have seen about them. Not to mention there have been several posts of New Yorkers on threads all over the internet talking about how they know the workers to Skyline Signatures and watch them themselves get signatures. It's not hard to get a signature.. And being an ebay newbie doesn't mean you can't have a good signature collection built up. It's not hard to make a living off standing in lines, stalking celebrities and climbinb up the social ladder to get the signature. My signed piece was tested to be authentic, a real signature.

This is Nuts

AUTHOR: Sarah - (United States of America)

I read the report above and I noticed that there was an accusation followed by some consumer comments from other reports. I realise that this Mike person requested the ebay user ID of the customer who purchased from the seller of this report. Is there some sort of ripoffreport.com policy of useing multiple accounts? I'm going to copy and paste a consumer comment from another report from Mike in Columbus-

I think this is really wacked. Ex Authenticator why do you file reports under a nameless person and then pretend to be another person under a different name and then ask the customer of the sellers ebay user ID is? With this in mind I would highly discourage anyone from revealing any info on here. This is one of the worst cases of internet stalking that I have seen in a long time.

Whats funny is that the author is going under different names to request more proof than what she has.

Customer from Skylinesignatures

AUTHOR: Hannah - (United States of America)

Hi. My name is Hannah and I recently purchased an autograph from Skylinesignatures. I purchased a kate beckinsale autograph and it turned out to get an official authentication from PSA. Another thing that I noticed and what led me to purchase from this seller was the sellers feedback. I checked it again today and this seller has a 100% feedback rating along with the top rated seller from ebay.

I see everyone saying that this person is selling fakes but no poof that she is. So far it looks like I'm the 2nd customer to come forward with proof that I received an authentic signature.

It just looks to me that there's something really personal going on. People do not go to great lengths to defame sellers like this unless someone gets ripped off. Here opinions don't really count. Its not what you think or what you know........its what you can prove. So far I haven't seen anything otherwise and the way I see it this seller has 337 customers who have said otherwise.

This is why cavemen hire experts to see if a signature is fake or not. Its because they can't tell and PSA does that for them. They will also represent the cavemen in court to offer their expert opinion.

It's dangerous to rely too much on third-party authentication.

AUTHOR: Bo Knows - (United States of America)

From what I been reading, so far, it seems to me the bad guys always find a way to discredit the author of this report. Let me tell you in a way that even a caveman can understand. No authentication services is 100% perfect. They do make mistake from time to time. Letting the bad stuffs in through with passing grades and the good stuffs identified as fake. I seen it done before in front of my own eyes. Horrible experience.

Be cautious when buying fake autographs on ebay. They come in all different forms. From my perspective, there is only a handful of sellers who abide by the laws and actually go get the real autographs rather than forging. I would say 99% of the autographs that sellers claim they got in person are fake on ebay. Quite easy to spot them on ebay. They have too many. Period. Just too much. They will go to great lengths to get items authenticated. Offer fake certificates of authenticities  to sell with their fakes. The bottom line, most celebrity & pro athlete autographs are incredibly difficult to authenticate. And if a deal to purchase something autographed by your favorite star seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Skyline Signatures have load of fake autographs in his store.I feel sorry for people who buy it and think it's authentic.

Fakes just breed on ebay.

still waiting for a response from ex-authenticator?

AUTHOR: Steven - (U.S.A.)

So are we going to get a response from ex-authenticator in response to Davids addition to this report. I'd love to hear how customers are receiving authentic autographs from these sellers that ex-authenticator claims to be a fraud.
Keep in mind........the author needs to provide some sort of proof that these reports are true. So far we know that the seller is a top rated seller that the author pointed out and theres a customer who received several autographs from skylinesignatures that were authenticated by PSA which the author of this report supports as reputable as stated in previous reports.
It doesnt exactly take a a genious to figure out that the grandmaster fake is the author of this report.

Still waiting for a response from the author of this report

AUTHOR: David - (United States of America)

I'm trying to get a response from the author of this report who has also typed several other reports on ebay sellers who sell autographs. I pasted a copy of my report below and I specificly requested a response reguarding my purchases on ebay and from skylinesignatures. The report is as follows below:

This is intresting and I guess I have to be the one to deliver the bombshell to this Ex-Authenticator.

My name is David and I'm from Oceanside, CA and a friend of mine recently purchased a couple of tickets that turned out to be fake. They were purchased by a seller on ebay and she wanted to do a little research on the seller if there were similar reports. She came to rippoffreport.com and typed in ebay in the search and as she was searching she came across these reports stating that many of these ebay sellers in particular are selling fake autographes.

She knows that I am a collector and that 90% of my purchases for over a decade have come off of ebay. I am not one to travel all over the country to visit every person who holds an autograph signing session so most of my purchases come from on-line. Most of the autographs I receive are at a bargain price and every now and then I will make a few large value purchases but the catch is that when I receive my purchases I know that I have only 45 days to file a claime if it turns out to be fake so when I receive them I send them off to be authenticated by PSA/DNA.

This is where things get intresting. I have read many of your reports and by your own words you bash sellers for selling items you claim to be fake and you are constantly referring to PSA/DNA services as a reputable 3rd party company. You have also stated in one of your reports your state very clearly that there are reputable sellers on ebay who sell autographs that received PSA/DNA services. So I think we all know that you put your trust in this company right?

The thing that I have a problem is that after a decade of collecting I've come across these sellers that you exploited and every purchase that I have made has been authenticated exclusively through the PSA/DNA services after I received them.

4 of my purchases have come from the seller in this report. 6 though Slyline signatures and 4 from tonicollectibles4u and many many more.

So.............tell me something. How is it that the very service you speak so highly of is authenticating the very items that you are claiming to be fake?

To me its a real kick in balls when I log on-line and see reports insinuating that my entire 10 years and over 600 PSA/DNA authenticated autographs are a total fake.

After you answer my question also tell me why you gave yourself that stupid name "ex-authenticator" instead of your real name. Are you affraid of being exposed as a ranting fake who's trying to undermine other sellers in a desperate attempt to boost your own. I surely hope that over the 10 years of buying that none of my purchases came from you. If there were any truth to your reports you be cowering down behind your fake title "Ex-Authenticator"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So as you can tell from the report above that I have in fact received autographs from Skylinesignatures that I purchased on ebay and all were authenticated by PSA authentication services. This Ex-Authenticator has mentioned with his/her own words in previous reports that she recommends sellers who have had their autographs authenticated through PSA authentication services. Yet the autographs that are being protrayed as fake are in fact being authenticated through PSA.

So if any of these reports are true then PSA would report that they are fake right? Obviously its the opposite and I would still like a reponse from the author because everything that's being reported is meant to smear honest sellers.

Keep in mind: Sellers are people too. Some very good people who are being needlessly attacked without provocation.

One more thing: Another reason why I purchased items from skylinesignatures is because the seller is a top rated seller as you have correctly shown in your report.

Fraud is alive and well but not everyone is crook

AUTHOR: Steven - (U.S.A.)

This is actually a really intresting article and it highlights the risk of fraud that someone can run into when they are purchaseing this stuff on-line and through ebay. The fact of the matter is that every industry has a large ammount of fraud wrapped up in it. My wife and I used to collect Ty beanie babies and come to find out we purchased 4 of the old classic ones and they turned out to be fake. I'm pretty sure everyone has also heard a story or 2 that someone paid $700 for a handbag that turned out to be a fake too.

I still have yet to receive a fake autograph on ebay. I go through PSA to get mine authenticated but that doesn't mean that fraud is not there because this article shows it is even with these people in the article being in jail it still exsists on ebay. But at the same time we can't launch our own personal witch hunt where we attack people at random for selling stuff. Personally if I received a fake autograph (and some day my luck will run out) I would defenently file every report I could about it including a call to the authorities. But we can't accuse people of being criminals if they are selling stuff on ebay without any kind of merrit.

Husband and Wife Sentenced in Worldwide eBay Fraud Scheme Involving Over 5,000 Victims

(Newport News, VA) Rachel Reyes, age 29, of Williamsburg, Virginia, was sentenced today to 55 months in prison, three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $415,754.84 in restitution, in connection with her role in distributing fraudulent celebrity memorabilia items on eBay. Chuck Rosenberg, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; and, Cassandra M. Chandler, Special Agent in Charge, Norfolk Division, Federal Bureau of Investigation, made the announcement after Reyes sentencing today before United States District Judge Walter D. Kelley, Jr.

According to court documents, Rachel Reyes, her husband Jeffrey Reyes, and her mother, Nancy Selisker, operated their own eBay accounts for the sale of the counterfeit memorabilia, which included record albums and photographs of celebrities with forged signatures. To conduct the fraud scheme, the three defendants purchased unsigned memorabilia from various locations in Virginia, and then forged celebrity signatures on those items. The items subsequently posted the items for auction on eBay's Internet website. The listings falsely described these items as authentic and offered fraudulent certificates of authenticity.

From July 5, 2002 through March 11, 2005, using eBay account RICHIEGECKO, Rachel Reyes personally completed 5,265 sales of memorabilia with forged signatures to 3,359 victims, with losses totaling approximately $314,773.97. From July 21, 2003 through March 11, 2005, using eBay account MMASGRL, Selisker personally completed 1,620 sales of memorabilia with forged signatures to 1,104 victims, with losses totaling approximately $118,114.07. From August 10, 2002 through March 11, 2005, using eBay account WOLFIE88, Jeffrey Reyes completed 1,317 sales of memorabilia with forged signatures to 1,124 victims, totaling approximately $130,520.72. Victims were located throughout all 50 states of the United States as well as 33 other countries.

On March 26, 2007, Jeffrey Reyes, age 30, of Williamsburg, Virginia, was sentenced to 33 months in prison, three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $98, 948.94 in restitution for his role in the scheme. Selisker is scheduled to be sentenced on April 30, 2007.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. eBay also provided assistance during the investigation. Assistant United States Attorneys Michael Gill and Brian Samuels prosecuted the case for the United States.

AUTHOR: Steven - (U.S.A.)

K. So as much as you're saying that these signatures are fakes you have to have some sort of proof that they are fake. If someone gets an autograph from tom cruise on the street and then sells it to someone on ebay then kudos to them. But you have to have some sort of proof that they are fake and your report is just Jibberish comments. You said this person is a criminal and you know the persons name but you failed to put the name in your report and then after everything you ask if someone can contact law enforcement when you seem to be the one shooting out all of these accusations. Im aware of the billion dollar forge industry but again this report looks like it was written by a very angry 12 year old who is making up the story as he goes along. Theres got to be some other reason you're doing this but all of these random articles about sellers selling fake autographs on ebay all have the same jibberish claims. Its reports like these that make people question the reliability of any of these reports. So if this is true you would have laid out all of the facts and you you would have not expected us to figure everything out for you.

libel

AUTHOR: misterix - (United States of America)

I am greatly offended by this claim of fraud. I spend countless hours chasing celebrities, getting them at airports and in Manhattan. I can tell you the story of how I got each and every celebrity. About how the Lady Gaga was obtained inside the hotel parking garage, about how I waited outside Tom Cruise's hotel before he left for David Letterman, about how I kept on getting Johnny Depp to sign at Letterman, about how I waited in the front row with workers and got Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie at the Blood and Honey movie premiere, about how I begged John Mayer coming out of a restaurant, about how I got Katy Perry rolling her window down coming out of the 30 Rock garage, Dwyane Wade at FOX and Friends, about how I met Jim Carrey outside painting and I asked him  if he would sign at his hotel, waited 4 hours and he signed 6 for me and my worker because he felt bad I waited so long, about how I chased Harrison Ford to a restaurant and he signed on the way out, about how I waited outside George Clooney's hotel and he signed everything I had no problem ,same thing with John Travolta, Kobe Bryant outside his hotel, Taylor Swift entering an event and signing 2 for me then bothering me all day, how I got Wayne Gretzky at airport, Keanu Reeves, Christian Bale outside his hotel, at the airport on the Dark Knight Rises movie set, Richard Gere outside an event, airport, Robert Downey Jr. outside his hotel and David Letterman, Daniel Radcliffe at the play (I got so many from him over the course of the year that his bodyguard wouldn' let me get anymore and I had to send a good friend of mine there), Michael Phelps on departure from NYC, Lindsay Lohan chasing the car and she told me stop running it's not healthy, Kim Kardashian friend got for me in L.A., Will Smith on MIBIII set (His guard told me to stop going for him  on set I went so much), Adam Sandler (followed his whole schedule when he was in), Bill Clinton (outside events), Bruce Willis (tv shows), Tom Hanks (followed him), Julia Roberts (followed her schedule) I request that this post me removed because I consider this an act of libel. The statements the poster made are unfair and untrue.
