I am writing this to PROTECT other consumers from efaucet's advertised misrepresentation of a "30 Day RETURN Period, 30 Day Exchange Period" PLUS to protect consumers from the
misrepresentation of a "NEXT DAY AIR SHIPPING OFFER (NOTE, this
company requires the customer to return within the 30 day period, but they on
the other hand DID NOT SHIP the item for close to a month in the first place,
even though they offered next day air for $10.00, in lieu of free shipping!)
This company places a deliberate burden on the consumer, who in good faith
want to return an item that could not be utilized for its original purpose. The
faucet I purchased was clearly not going to fit, so it had to be returned.
I followed ALL protocol, got the return authorization, sent it back within 1 week of receipt
and then never heard back for over a month, even though I called efaucets several times
and emailed. Then, when I finally was able to get an answer, I was told
the "item arrived damaged and no refund would be sent"...and BTW,
would you like the faucet returned to you? Now, mind you, this was a $470.00
faucet!!
I filed a claim w/UPS about the damage and UPS picked up the faucet
and could NOT find any damage. In fact, efaucets own customer service
representative actually informed me of this fact as well, saying however,
"UPS is not experienced at inspecting faucets"...! (Thank
goodness I had this in an email, for proof).... I also found out from the same
customer service representative that the item returned was now
discontinued...hmmmm.... this was starting to look suspicious, it looked like
efaucets was shifting the burden of cost onto the consumer (me) for a
discontinued item. What other explanation could be offered?? BEWARE!!!
The faucet was eventually sent back to me after UPS denied the claim stating THEY COULD FIND
NO DAMAGE to this faucet!!! In fact, I opened the package
in my local UPS office upon receipt and 2 UPS employees inspected the faucet, seeing NO
damage!!
It has now been 3 months and I am still contesting this.
This has been an incredibly frustrating undertaking. I desire for
myself, and other consumers NOT to be treated so unprofessionally and for this
company to work within simple guidelines of courtesy and FAIRNESS and NOT just
"in name only" as advertised on their website!!
The bottom line is that the MAIN desired outcome must be to prevent this from ever
occurring again, and I am doing this for ALL of us. Next step was that the
manufacturer of the faucet was sent a letter with pictures and the faucet will
shortly be sent directly to them. They have also said they are issuing me a
refund directly. As mentioned, I stuck with this, many letters, emails, phone
calls later, major hassle- exhausting...
