El Cid Resorts Fernando Told me that they would buy my current timeshare and deduct the sale price from their sale to me. Charged me for time share that I did not sign for. Mazatlan Sinaloa

I bought at El Cid resort timeshare that ran for 20 years. After about 10 years the maintenance fee was so high it was costing me money to keep this timeshare. I wrote multiple emails to the company asking that my contract be terminated. I stopped using the timeshare and before I knew it a collection company was calling and put a lien on my home for more than $1000. Beware of El Cid timeshares. They'll abuse you with their maintenance fees and then send you to a collection agency if you try to get out of the contract. I'll never stay with them again.

We also were lured into purchasing a timeshare at El Cid with the promise of $5,000 each year for the next 3 years simply by giving up our week. I even have a document with Phoenix Vac. Prop. Mgmt. (PVPM) at the top and signed by an El Cid authorized representative and another person's signature, yet Alex Stewart of PVPM informed me in an email that her company will NOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING IN WRITING!!!

When you visit the website for PVPM, El Cid pops up. I strongly suspect they are merely another way for El Cid to rip people off. They tell you lies that they will rent out your weeks for so much money, and/or sell your other timeshares for you. Read my report on 8/6/09 and you will see what those criminals at El Cid are capable of.

I believe that your experience with both El Cid and PVPM needs to be reported to the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Consumer Protection. The evidence against them appears to be growing.

We too have not received copies of documents we signed for the purchase of our timeshare, but I learned from our bank that someone at El Cid has altered documents, fabricated new ones and possibly committed forgery to further entrap us into this fraudulent contract.

So don't take anyone's word for it that you signed anything until you actually take a look at what they CLAIM you signed.
