I visited the new hermitage store in April of 2004 to browes and check out T.V's , not to mention my cell phone contract with a competetive service provider was expiring soon i also checked out cell phones packages by Sprint. I was told i had to fill out a credit check to subscribe to Sprint , which i did. I also found a 65" JVC I'ART for $1999.00 on "sale" for which i inquired about layaway , "Sure no problem" was the salesman # 735's response. I proceeded to put $1000.00 down and recieved a RECIEPT explaning THE Electronic Express layaway policy. "ALL SALES FINAL ON LAYAWAY. CANCELLATION POLICY:
30 DAY = 25% 60 DAY =50% 90 DAY =75%.

Well about a month later i started receiving a bill from SPRINT in access of $200.00 for cell phone service i have never had! Turns out Mr. salesman 735 took it upon himself to sign me up for Sprint service.... after another month of fighting Sprint AND Electronic Express over a ever escalating bill for which Electronic Express denied any wrong doing WHATSOEVER and must be entirely my fault for entering their store! But it turns out.. FOR SOME ODD REASON ELECTRONIC EXPRESS COULDN'T FIND "SERVICE CONTRACT WITH MY SIGNATURE FOR SPRINT SERVICE" This was also surely my fault!

Well I made payments on MY TV and couldn't wait till that day i could bring her home! I made a payment in July and was told by the salesman i was in luck because the MY TV had a matching JVC DVD that was rated number 1 by consumer reports... WOW i'll take it i said happily as i envisioned TITANS games on my JVC 65" I ART TV... WENT 08/27/2004 TO PAYOFF TV..I WAS TOLD IT WAS SOLD!!AND I WAS TOLD I ACTUALLY HAD A 90 DAY SAME AS CASH TRANSACTION AND AGAIN NO PAPER WORK EXSIST FOR THIS EITHER AT THE STORE BUT I HAVE MY ORIGINAL RECIEPT FOR LAYAWAY!!!!! MY WIFE WAS YELLED AT BY A 19 YEAR OLD STORE MANAGER NAMED ERIC WHO SAID HE HAD NO LAST NAME, MAKES SENSE, WHO TOLD HER IT WAS HER FAULT FOR NOT GETTING OUR LAYAWAY OUT FASTER AND WAS GONNA CHARGE A RESTOCKING FEE!!!!

WELL BEFORE I COULD GO DOWN THERE AND JERK ERIC, NO LAST NAME, OUT OF THE STORE AND BEAT HIM TO A PULP, THE 21 YEAR OLD DISTRICT MANAGER CALLED MY WIFE AND OFFERED A REFUND A REFUND OF $1400.00 THAT COULD HAVE BEEN SITTING IN MY BANK DRAWING INTREST... NO CAN I DO SOMETHING TO HELP, OFFER NEXT BEST TV ANYTHING.... NO! NEVER AGAIN WILL I SET FOOT IN ELCTRONIC EXPRESS (IT PAINS ME TO EVEN TYPE THE NAME) TO MANY OUT THERE FOR THIS TREATMENT. I'M IN THE REAL ESTATE BUINESS AND KNOW AND HELP HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE FIND NEW HOMES AND DECORATE, I WILL SCREAM TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOSER'S STORE... UNLESS IT'S A GOING OUT OF BUINESS SALE!

John,

in response to your report against Electronic Express, INC. of Hermitage, I believe your accusations about our layaway policy is totally incorrect. I am the new assistant manager at the Hermitage location. Whenever you begin your layaway with the company, you are required to sign a receipt stating your agreement to the lay-away terms. Electronic Express is not required to hold your items on layaway for longer that 90 days. Which is stated on your copy of the layawau receipt. Items continously are being discontinued, therefore 91 days from now we could not have something you put on layaway today. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me @ the store 615-846-1208.
