Has anyone noticed that ELECTRONIC PAYMENT SYSTEMS/EPS, proud recipient of hundreds of complaints both RIP OFF REOORTS and BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU complaints, suddenly enjoys AN A+ ratting with the BBB?

You don't suppose it has anything to do with the fact that EPS became a dues paying member of the BBB on 10/15/12 do you?

Not sure whether this complaint should be addressed to EPS or the "FOR RENT" BBB. Please advise

Time to investigate Colorado BBB Chapter and EPS

Thank you for all the helpful information.  I hope they begin looking into the Colorado BBB and EPS connection.  Over 200 complaints and they are now accredited.  They finally posted our complaint on the BBB and it just proves that EPS did NOTHING to resolve any issues and LIED.  And we provided proof of the lies they replied to on the BBB.

this is in the section under EPS gave good faith effort to resolve the situation.  NEVER!  and the proof is right there. Especially when they lied and said we had 3 conference calls with Mr. Peterson whom we never spoke to and refused to return our calls for weeks. Is that good faith effort.  It is dated 2/25/2013.  Though this complaint was filed in January it is just being found now! hmmmmm

BBB still hasn't posted our complaint we filed...

After over 2 months of filing a complaint with the BBB on EPS, I am wondering why it is not posted and LIVE on the BBB site.  There are many complaints filed after ours.  As stated prior, we have filed with the BBB and EPS responded once and did not even attempt to state a resolution and refused to comment on why the will not give us written documentation on all the money they are holding.  Without any suggestions or help to resolve the issue the BBB closed the case. This is after I sent them written documentation of the lies EPS stated in their reply.  BBB claims EPS gave good faith effort and the entire report would have proved the lies EPS stated. 

I asked BBB how they can feel the complaint was in favor of EPS with all the documentation i sent stating they were lying and even asked them to at least see what they can do to get us written documentation of the money they are holding along with the exact release date.  I have received no answer from the BBB.

Anyone have any suggestions on what other recourse we can take that won't cost a fortune lawyer fees? What happened to consumer rights?

These are bad people. I did some research on eps and all they do is steal people's money. Not sure how they get away with it and how BBB can support this kind of activity. It may be possible that the BBB receives a kickback from them!

Thank you for the BBB information. Sounds like a very shady relationship and that is a shame. How can a company that has so many complaints have such a good rating? It doesn't make sense. I read their reply to another unhappy consumer and it sounds like lies.  They should not be allowed to operate with such unethical business parractices!

We are victims of EPS and BBB will not help

We recently filed a report with the BBB on EPS.  After EPS replied to our complaint with one lie after another, which we sent supporting documentation of the fraudulent behavior and proof they were lying, the BBB took 3 weeks to answer and said that the case was closed because they consider EPS to have attempted good faith effort to resolve the issue.  We asked for a solution and pleaded with EPS and BBB to provide us with written documentation that they are holding over $4,000.00 in funds and REFUSE to send us in WRITING when they are releasing the funds. 

Bare in mind, we were just approved with EPS.  They kept 100% of all our transactions and say we are not getting it for 12 months because we are too high risk. We asked them to refund the clients to relieve them of their high risk and they refused, then we asked them to send us in writing the amount they are holding and the exact date they are releasing funds.  They are ignoring us and now BBB says they are in good faith. 

Believe that one!  Then I went onto BBB to see if they even posted my last rebuttal and the filing is gone! Most recent one on there is 12/12, we filed in January.

EPS is Proud of A+ Rating and BBB Accredited Business

As we all know anyone can place a complaint online regardless if the claim is factual or just a misguided ranting, whether it is a disgruntled ex-employee or competitor. There is no way for the reader to know whether or not it is a true complaint as the consumer complaint websites do not require the complaint to be based off of facts nor do they contact the person filing the complaint to have the information substantiated before placing on their site. Unless of course, the company agrees to paying tens of thousands of dollars to Arbitrate" or "Repair Their Reputation which we do not ethically believe in doing. 

Even if a company did decide to pay this great sum of money to repair their reputation the negative comments posted are still not removed but rather are then, and only then, provided with the complaints site finally investigating the complaint & then commenting on what the company has done to repair the situation IF the complaint did happen to have any truth behind it.

This is one of the main ways the BBB and the Consumer Complaint websites differ. The BBB will place the complaint on file but actually investigates each complaint for validity and then allows the business  to correct the situtation to make the consumer happy without charging a ridiculous large amount of money. Electronic Payment Systems is a customer focused company, with high ethical standards providing businesses with the safest, most secure and technologically advanced merchant service solutions in addition to the best customer service for over 20 years.  Electronic Payment Systems has had an A+ rating with the BBB for over 2 years, and recently became a BBB Accredited Business after satisfying any and all consumer complaints over the past several years. This means EPS has made contact with each consumer complaint and handled the matter for an above satisfactory outcome. This is not something that has been bought into, but deserved and earned. EPS has earned the BBB Standards of trust in advertising, selling and customer service.
