Requested my money back many times, fell on deaf ears. From what I have found on line this has been happening to all the people who sign up. This needs to stop!!! They need to refund the money to all of us!!!

Constructive Letter to the owner

If you are really the owner, it seems like you are recounting the possibilities which are presented to the customers, when they come in to the business. I do understand things do not always turn our perfect, but it's important to follow the rules, which in my case weren't followed. I am not here to slam the company, or the owner, because something like this is really needed, and those looking for quality people would probably spend any amount of money to actually get it.
I was a victim of domestic violence, and it was very important for me to have a background check on the individuals I dated. I had attempted Internet dating, since shortly after my divorce, I moved out of state with my kids to be with my father after my Mom passed away. It was really hard to meet people in a place where I had not lived. I found Internet dating was comprised of a bunch of false faces, who as this customer pointed out, wanted sex, not that "one" for life.
Paul, I do understand about giving a chance to things, but the foundation of my relationship was based on trust, trust that first and foremost, a background check would be done.
My first match was with a married man, and he had been, by his own admission, arrested for domestic violence. After our first meeting at a mall, he attempted to follow me home, and I made wild circles to finally lose him. Creepy. I have filed a BBB complaint to just write off what I owe. I have been dealing with this for nearly 2 years, made a verbal agreement that it would be written off, then found all the info I provided (I had spent 8 months hiding from my exhusband who tried to take my son by force, and was in a domestic violence shelter) regarding contact information, was turned over to collections. That really hurt, especially since my divorce has already damaged my credit.
So if the point of this letter is to make suggestions, there are just a few.
- You will only attract quality people with quality service. The background check did not find the man was married and had been arrested. I think I can get a background check nationally for $25. Increase the price that much.
- I think there is a problem with the actual matchmakers not being in the actual location where the people live. Why aren't they in the office where I originally meet with them? The person making my matches was not in my state. She did not get that the few miles further than where I wanted to meet someone, involved driving back and forth over a bridge where the toll is $4.
- There out to be a "check" in after a certain period of time. The initial meeting was really an ego boost, that young lady, like the poster her, really made me feel like there was a chance....but now it hurts to think that person was just a salesperson, because I could not address my concerns directly with her or anyone in my state.
- If there is an issue, have a fair refund policy. I had one match that did not work out, and I did not request any further man hours be spent on my situation. I had made a few monthly payments, for one wrong match. I realized there were limitations to finding a "safe" person. Now I am being harassed by a collection agency.
Peace
