I came across emailfinder.com while trying to locate someone I had not seen in a long time. I signed up simply becasue I had heard a rumor and wanted to find out more.

They sent me two bogus eamil addresses and one that went to someone other than the person for whom I was searching. I contacted them and then they sent me an email saying if I did the background check that I would get all I needed. They promised job records, criminal records, addresses and phone numbers, public records and more. I don't know if this will paste correctly or not.

I tried to make a jpg file but it showed up so small you could not see it so I am going to try and copy the text from the report here: (I removed names, ph numbers and state from these files) But you can see what kind of info they got.

I found out later he had graduated from the police academy and had been a policeman for a few years and then while on the force got in trouble and had a criminal record, was married, I got his birth date, his true address, and his phone number after I paid these shysters to do it for me and got nothing.

I can't enter the email addresses due to it might give away the person for whom I was searching and I never did it to cause him any harm.

Here is what emailfinder.com came up with on their background check:

Age: unknown

Birthdate: unknown

Criminal Data: [0 records available]

Phone: Aliases:

Positions No positions found

Businesses No businesses found

Professional Licenses No licenses found

Aircraft Data No Aircraft found

Watercraft Data No Watercraft found

Recreational Licenses No Recreational Licenses found

I paid them $29.95 for one service and $23.40 for the other and it was nothing but a scam. The background checks found no birtday or birth certificate, they found no job record, they found no criminal records, NOTHING but addresses and phone numbers and they did not belong to the person for whom I was searching.

They woudl not give me back my money on the email search. They said since it found addresses the services were rendered and that was all they could do. I filed a dispute at household bank which is the credit card I had used. The results on that were, "We find that services you ordered were rendered and we cannot refund your money." So...emailfinder.com CAN find email address but they ARE NOT the current up to date ones that they promised. BEWARE !!! Do not use emailfinder.com. They don't know their butt from a hole in the ground about finding anything. I found more on google search and it was FREE. emailfinder.com is a joke. When you complain they will tell you need to hire a private investigator. And you are just SOL at getting a refund just because they do the search even thogh they don't find nothing, they tried.

If you hired someone to fix your car and they really tried to fix it but could not, you would not have to pay. The same should should go for emailfinder.com. When they try and fail, they should have to give a refund. It is not our fault they can't do their job and they should not promise what they can't do. Again, emailfinder.com is a scam. They don't know how to find anything. They promise you everything and give you nothing that is current. BEWARE of this company.

And what is so sad, they will not give you the refund you derserve.

I was ripped off by this company as well. I am not sure who exactly they are but they keep charging my account. I did not want to keep doing them. I only ordered one time and am not sure how to get a hold of them.

I want my money back. This company and transunion does this. It is a rip off since I do not keep up with checking out more people. Also, alot of the information is off, anyway. They should not be able to steal money for such a poor service.
