E merchant club's terms and conditions clearly spelled out We're Gonna Ream Ya. But I paid my money and took my chances anyway. Then took responsibility for my mistake. But what really pisses me off is when I canceled my membership they stole my domain name. The fact is, it never was mine. While I was on the phone with them creating it on 04/30/09 they were online with their registrar purchasing it for themselves. I had no idea. I thought they were the registrar. They never told me that once I canceled my membership I would loose my domain. And they didn't do it to just me. They did it to all of you. Those domains are our intellectual property. The most important and valuable piece. But as far as I know, I'm the only one complaining. Don't any of you realize that your domains could have real value?? I was shopping for one the other day, 02/08(I think)/13. azs.com was what I wanted. It was available, but had a price tag of $104,000. That's not a misprint. One hundred and four thousand dollars. Don't believe me? Skip on over to Go Daddy and search it for yourself. Obviously, it took time and effort to get it at that value. Didn't all of you put time and effort into yours? And there are others valued in the millions. But what bothers me the most is that my reputation was tied to it. People knew me by it. I used that name on amazon. Now it's gone and a lot of my customers can't find me anymore. Do any of you even know how to appraise your domain. Once again, get on over to Go Daddy, or any registrar. They can help you with that. You should all be boiling mad over this. Domain stealing is a serious crime. They do it differently than what people usually hear about and there are loopholes in the law that allow them to get away with it. But it's still stealing.
I've already filed my complaints. I may as well have been talking to a d**n wall. One complaint is worthless. Regardless of how much time has passed, we all need to get on this.
Here's the link to the BBB. And here's the one for the FTC. Do you know who the registrar is for your domain. Here's where you go to find it. Domain Tools. Remember, The registrar has done nothing wrong and is as innocent as you and I. They really can't do anything, but you can inform them that your domain is stolen property. ICANN, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers can't do anything. But if you tell them what happened they might be able to give some good advice.
Everyone who gets their hands on this needs to get it out there. Make it viral. But right this moment, you need to start clicking those links.

Don't let EMC keep Your Domain

They didn't steal my domain after all.
There were things they could have done, or done differently but on 02/19/13 EMC did finally send the transfer code for my domain name and released it. This was more than 30 days after filing a complaint with the BBB. If EMC won't cooperate with you personally then the BBB is probably the best place to start for resolution of the issue. Be patient and wait for the response. If it's negative, then take the next step.
