This company contacted me in response to an inquiry I made through an online site that linked consumers up with mortgage lenders for home loan refinancing. At first it was the usual collecting of information which I was very upfront about. There were some serious credit issues and I was assured would not be a problem since they are a nonconforming lender. I was quoted interest rate and monthly payments.
Several emails and faxes later no closing although I still have copies of emails assuring me we would close soon. I began to worry and called and emailed my contact person who still assured me nothing to worry about. Well, it is now October.
It has been since the beginning of September. Actually they had all of our information since July since that is when the initial contact was made. They had me pay a $375 commitment fee and I was told at my last contact that if for some reason we didn't close the money would be refunded.
I have emailed my contact person and I have had no response at this time. When we last spoke he stated the paperwork was in the hands of an underwriter. That was on or about 9/20/06. Due to the seriousness of the situation I was very upfront. We are now in more financial trouble than before. I was told that many people in the field of mortgage lending are dishonest and will say anything and now I believe it.

customer failed to mentioned failure to pay trutee for bankruptcy, and mortgage history due to the lack of discloure of customer we were unable to help the customer. money was never promised to be refunded
