I was cold called by a fast talking guy who said his name was Justin Scribner with a company called Energc. He first stated that he wasn't selling anything so I listened. He said that he knew I had hail damage to my netal roof and could convince my insurance company to pay for a new roof. I was intrigued so I allowed them to come out to inspect. A grungy guy named Michael Andrew Johnson showed up in a blue Jeep Cherokee. He had a fold up ladder that didn't even reach my roof. He smelled like he hadn't slept in days and was pretty rough for a company representative. I let him borrow my ladder and we both climbed on to the roof to inspect.

He pointed out some tiny hail dents and proceeded to show me his phone that had images of what he called NOAA maps proving hail had fallen in my area. He mentioned that he used to own other companies, Hail-Track and Storm Guider...on line companies that did something regarding hail leads... I was confused. I saw enough dents to be conovinced that the roof could be covered by insurance even without Michael Johnson's help but knew I did not have the time to deal with the claim process. I signed a document and later met the insurance adjuster. The insurance company paid for the roof and when it was time to start the project, Energc asked for a deposit of 50%.

I had the check endorsed by my bank and wrote Energc a check for over $200,000.00. Michael Johnson stated the materials would arrive in a week and nearly two weeks later I heard nothing. I called them and they told me the weather was holding them back, then later they blamed the supplier. I called the supplier and found out an order was never placed for my building. It has been 4 months and I can not locate these people. If anyone knows how to contact Energc, Michael Andrew Johnson, Justin Scribner or Stephen Vogelpohl, please respond. Thank you. This company is the exact fear I always hear about in roofing. Please be careful.
