Enterprise Car Rental, Assistant Manager Bryan Abraham Enterprise Charged me $500 with promise to refund and never did. Every time I call I get the run around and no answers Arlington Virginia

I had a rental car from enterprise for a week in September. The day I was returning it I found that there was a small scratch on the right bumper. I guess someone had scratched it when it was parked. When I returned the car, the people at Enterprise did not even notice the scratch but I pointed it out to them.

They told me they do not know how much it will cost to repair but it should be very very little. They said they have to charge $500 because that is what they always do (it was what ther reffered to as policy)  but insisted that in the nest few days they would get an estimate on the car and then call me and refund me the rest of the money. They estimated the damage to be around $50.

Well, I waited a few days and received no call and no refund. I would like to say that I was told by several people at enterprise that day that it is "just paperwork" - they take the $500 "standard policy" and then they quickly refund me the majority of themoney that wouldn't be used. "By the end of the week, you will have the money returned"

I called Enterprise weekly for several weeks and was told the estimate has not been done yet. Now it is nearly 2 months later and I called again and was told they have no information on the claim and that everything is pending.

They charged me $500 for a scratch that they did not even see themselves with the promise that within days the issue would be resolved and I would receive the majority of the $500 back. So far I have not received any word from them and when I call no one has any information and I keep being told the work is pending.

It is two months out- I am sure the scratch has been fixed and the car has been rented oout again. Why is no one telling me how much the repair cost? How much of my money is no available for refund? Why did they take the $500 and leave no trace or explanation as to where it is?

It seems that this is enterprise's way of getting $500 for free. I am open to resolving this matter if anyone contacts me After this experience, I am never renting a car from enterprise again and I hope others are more careful as well
