This is not a conventional ripoff report in that this company did nothing to me personally, but rather provides false information to any who visit their site.

The problem with reporting such a company, a site that recommends picks for penny stocks (OTC or pink sheet companies) to investors, is that they have an entire page dedicated to disclaimers, in fine print no less.

The problem I have with this site in particular is in their false claims of returns on stocks that have NEVER reached the value they claim. For instance the current claim, should you visit their site today, will show a 192% gain on VMRI from $2.05 - 6.00. VMRI has NEVER reached $6.

And that's just one example. Predicting stocks and getting it wrong are part of the natural ebb and flow in the market. Where you get your advice on those picks is entirely your risk to take. But being fed outright false information is wrong. Obviously.

I am posting this here because I want to remind everyone dealing in these types of securities, or any stock for that matter,  that you have to do your homework. It took 30 seconds of my time to find the false claims for VMRI. Every stock has a history chart that doesn't lie. EpicStockPicks.com is posting false information and making false claims. This is me reminding you to never take such websites (pump and dumps)on their word. Do your homework and protect yourself.

I stand corrected

I was wrong about VMRI. Epic stated the stock as a recent win. I'm not certain that 3.23.15 can be considered recent. I've made money on VMRI 3 times now - got out at $3.24 on this last pump. Felt pretty good about my timing on that one until I stopped by Epic and was given the impression that I had missed out on something that big - recently.

I've been in and out with VMRI since May of 2015 and it's been good to me - not $6 good, but good enough. Obviously the complaint I lodged wasn't about VMRI but rather about the verbiage, accuracy, and truthfullness put forth by Epic.

As it turns out I was wrong about the very stock that got my knickers in a twist to begin with. So while I retract my statement about the VMRI stock and outright false reporting by Epic, I stand by my assertion that they are misleading.

At any rate, the point of my original complaint is that it is important that we educate ourselves not just about the companies we invest in but also the sites we enlist to keep us informed. As far as chart reading goes, I didn't check far back enough.

I realize that Epic and sites like Epic are just part of the cog that drives the penny stock industry. I make money now and then on the pumps myself. But others, especially those new to investing, might not.

I encourage anyone reading this to google VMRI 3/23/2015. You can learn how and why the stock hit that historic price which was only a boon for those in the know.

You can also learn about the very real damage done to investors who were not informed and purchased stock in said company as a result of the promotions by sites like Epic.

That's the pump, and it's done at the expense of honest, uninformed investors or those who simply have bad timing and it can't happen without the hype.

By the way, I'm not a guy.
