Although, I have always regarded this company as legitimate, and trustworthy, I must report that this company has taken a turn for the worst.  For those real estate agents who use this service, I hope you realize that due to the dramatic decrease in REO listings this company appears to be suffering a financial crisis or lack of cash flow.  This is clearly evident in the dramatic increase they are now charging for so called "Lead Areas" or what were formely Zip Code coverage areas.  To make matters worse this increase was deceptively communicated to Real Estate Agents who subsribe to this service.  Only a 3 business day notice to an increase that in my case was over 600%.  I immediately cancelled this service when I discovered the Charge to my account which was on June 1, 2015.  I tried to call Equator but they only do online chat and the operator I chatted with rejected my request for a refund and stated that i would have to keep the service for the whole month of June even though I was cancelling on the 1st of June.  AGENTS! you must also be made aware that if you are signed up with a lender who assigns your REO listings via equator that lender DOES NOT CARE what "lead areas" or zip codes you pay for on equator. The lender uses its own internal coverage area list that you provided when you signed up with that lender as an REO Broker to assign you the listings.  In other words, if you are paying for lead areas on Equator it is for the sole purpose of attracting a new lender that you do not already work with, and we all know that there is a very low probability in todays REO market that any lender is looking for new brokers to sign up. I have always been assigned REO listings in Equator from Lenders that I work with in zip codes or "Lead Areas" that I was not paying for because, like I said before,  the lenders use their own internal coverage area list that you provided to them when you signed up with that particular lender. I have disputed the charge with my debit card company.  Equator served an important role during the height of the REO business, however, they must continue to inovate and bring new ideas to the table if they want to stay in business.  I know of at least one very large lender (currently the largest servicer) that is leaving Equator because they have developed their own REO platform.
