Bill from Estate information Services has called 2 times now, trying to collect a debt my late father supposedly owes. My dad has no debt. He filed bankruptcy last year. I have not co-signed or signed anything financial for him.

Just because your dad filed for bankruptcy doesn't mean the debts were discharged.  If he died before the court discharged the debts, the company has every right to attempt to collect from the estate.  If there is no estate, it is fully legal to ask if the family is willing to pay it.  No, they are not legally liable but some people do want to clear their loved ones name and work out arrangements.  Stop being such a twit & realize things might have slipped through the cracks & just treat this as a business call, not a personal attack on you.  Trust me, he doesn't have any reason to attack you, it is just a job.

Just call back, advise there is no estate (if there isn't one) and that the family isn't going to pay, easy as that.
