I was provided false information regarding administrative fees that have not been returned to date. My daughter applied for a 2 bedroom apartment on 7/30/16. We paid the $ application fee and immediately completed the application while in the office. She was denied because lack of credit established & overdue medical bills. No problem, we understood and was ready to leave. The leasing agent than stated that I myself should complete an application to see If could gain approval. I explained that I would not be living within the apartment with my daughter. The leasing agent in return explained that she would later combine the applications if I was excepted.I paid the $ application fee and applied and although I met all criteria the credit report indicated that I had had a prior eviction which I hadn't ever. The leasing agent indicated that I'd need to go to the complex noted and have them in turn to fax a form that she provided showing that all fees had been satisfied and no money was owed which I immediately did so being the current and previous complex were close by. I then returned to the Wesley St.Claire, location, and the same leasing agent A****, said we had all the needed information and she would only need to pass on to her manager but saw no problem with gaining the approval but I would need to get a $75 money order to hold the apartment as administrative fees. She said that it their was a problem that she hold on to the money order and not submit it until she had gained approval.I ask A****, (leasing agent) should that occur how long would it be to get the administrative funds back and she stated immediately because they would not be cashed and to make sure to hold on to the receipt of the money order so I could cash it out if needed, but I'd need to wait till Tuesday, when the manager was expected to be in.Tuesday, I called and again spoke with A****, and was told then that I provided all the required information and that she did not foresee an issue with gaining an approval but the manager still hadn't come in yet and she'd return my call later that day. I never received a call back after almost a week had passed despite the several calls made by myself and my daughter. I each time was told that she was not available but would return my call which she never did. Finally on August 8, after several unanswered calls, I drove back over to the office and was told as I called from the parking lot of their office again that she was not in the office only to walk in and find her sitting at her desk. She then explained that the application had been denied on August 5, and that she no longer had access to the administrative fees and that the corporate office would have to return them to me. I asked why she hadn't returned any of our calls nor return the said fees as promised and she had no explanation so I requested to speak with the manager. The manager was very apologetic and stated that what occurred should of not of happened and that he was new and had not had an opportunity to work with his leasing team but he would personally make sure that all was rectified thru his corporate office regarding the return of the administrative fees. He also stated that he'd call me later that day to let me know when I'd be able to pick up my check. This never happened. I called back again today 8/23/16, and spoke with the same leasing agent A****,and was at this time explained that the manager I spoke with was now no longer was with her office. She also stated that the corporate office had cut a check on the 11th, but I'd have to wait till it was mailed out and that it may be 2 to 3 more weeks, which makes no sense at all being it was today the 23rd of August. I asked then for the name of the corporate office which she gave. I also asked for the phone number and was placed on hold only for her to return and provide me with an incorrect number to Bank of America. I called back seconds later, and was greeted by a new agent and was again presented the same number. I explained that this was incorrect number and that I had just called could you again provide me with the phone number to the corporate but was again placed on hold. I still to this date have ever received a call nor any of my money back despite my many requests. I'm hoping that by saying something to others that they will beware of how deceptive and unprofessional this company has been in my personal experience.
