In May 2004 I was contacted by a representative at Everest telling me that I qualified for $2500.00 in credit. He explained that a fee of $299.00 will be removed from my account but I would receive a card in the mail in the next week. I would need to go to the bank and get an advance of $299.00 and deposit it in my account so there wouldn't be any problems.

I never received the card but the money was taken out of my account. I called the company and got hold of a person with CCR. She explained they are a third party. I told her I wanted my money refunded back to me and that I never received the card. She proceeded to tell me that they don't issue the card until after the money has been removed from the account. I have called several times checking on the status of my refund.

I called on 6/17 and it was sent out and will take 30 days, I called on 8/4 they told me 45 days, I called on 8/30 and I now have to wait an additional 15 days. As of today, it has been 50 days since I was told I would receive a refund.

Get your money back in 2 weeks

AUTHOR: Karen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 02, 2004

For all those that have been victims of Everest Consumer Services, you can get your refund in 2 weeks. Email lisa@netchex.com and tell her briefly what happened to you. Provide them a call back number this is to verify your address. They will send a waiver which says that you have been a victim and that if you receive any money from anyone else that you will reimburse Netchex. Sign and date an fax it back. You will receive it back within the week. I called them on 10/19 and I received a check from Netchex on 10/29. They realize what happened and to make things right want to refund you. They have removed themselves from Everest. Please do this...Signing off for good!!

I agree Everest is on the Prowl Again

AUTHOR: Karen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 26, 2004

That sounds exactly what happened to me a couple of weeks ago, I received a call at work and this man came on the line and told me that I had applied for a card 36 months ago. I asked him who he was with and he said Mastercard. I asked him again which company is he representing and he said Mastercard and then transferred me to a verification specialist. This guy was wanting me to verify my bank information to prove who I was..I don't think so. I asked him if he planned to steal the money from my account and proceeded to tell him what had happened and he hung up and hasn't called back. I think that if they use a different approach that we'll fall for it. I asked him how they had my bank information and he said that they were affiliated with 1300 banks...unfortunately, the line they called me on at work didn't pull up their number or I would have called back when the 2nd guy hung up on me.

Everest is On The Prowl Again!!

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 20, 2004

On 10/19/04 I received a call from a fast talking woman who told me I had been approved for a Mastercard with a $3000 limit that I had applied for several months ago. I didn't get the name of the company, but I thought, here we go again. She told me they were affiliated with 1300 banks accross the country. I played along until she asked for my account number. I refused to give it to her and hung up. Do you think this could be Everest again? Do they really think we'd fall for this twice? Now, this is really strange. A phone number appeared on my caller ID when she called. I called it back and a recording answered "Play Company and Strauss Productions". Could they have hijacked someone's phone number? The number was 212-714-7056.

You can get a refund

AUTHOR: Karen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 19, 2004

I was about to give up and happened to see a report where someone said that they got their $299 back. You will get a call from Netchex and they will refund your money. They are no longer processing anything for Everest and realize that Everest was not doing what they were promising people. You don't have to call CCR anymore. I hope that everyone reads this and emails nextchex...Please do...

This past Friday, October 15, I received a call from someone who stared of saying that I had applied for a credit card 36 months ago. I asked who he is with and he said Mastercard. I asked again who is he with and he said Mastercard. He then transferred me to a Chris who is in the verification department, who went on to say about this $2400 credit limit and he wanted to verify my information - bank number, social security number, routing number. I asked him how he got my inforamtion and he said they have several ways of getting it. I then asked him if he was going to remove the money from my account. I started explaining to him what had happened and guess what...he hung up on me with out giving me the number to reach him out and hasn't called back. So PLEASE be aware that they are calling again!!!
