Ron Clarkson exclaims that Excel High School is accredited, but not by the US Department of Education! They are accredited by an institution that has no authority or wieght. Your diploma is worthless! Everyone is enrolled in the same five classes, and then once you complete those classes he will comeback and say that you need to take more classes. You cannot take any test or move on until you complete the assignment before it, which holds you back because you have to wait on them to grade papers. For math, he gives a four hour final, which is absurb and ridiculous and nothing like real school. They don't even do that in college, and if you fail the final, you fail the course. His whole scam is to keep you in as long as possible, because you can't even take a final until 60 days after signing up. And you have to pay before he gets your transcript, which takes more time. For math, you have to take 12 classes which have 15 question each and you get 45 minutes per test. Then on the final. you get 150 questions and 4 hours to finish. Do the math! You should get 45 x 10 which equals 450 minutes for the final to be equivalent to the quizzes but only get 240 minutes. Once again, that is ridiculous to get a final that long. No one does that! There is no partial credit like there would be in a real class where you get graded on the process, not having just the correct answer. I took an 11th grade English class, and after I finished he withdrew me and said that I had to take a 9th grade class. Another ploy to take advantage of people. I went and did a whois look up on his site, and this is what I got:

First, accreditation means everything for a school and for employers.
Excel High School is Regionally Accredited by AdvancED, The parent organization of The North Central Association CASI, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools CASI and the Northwest Accrediting Commission. Our accreditation is recognized by the State and US Department of Education.
See Excel's accreditation profile at:
advanc-ed.org/oasis2/u/par/accreditation/summary?institutionId=25182
Second: excelhighschool.edu20.org is not our website. Edu20.org is a Learning Management System that Excel uses to deliver online courses. If you would take the time to do proper research, you would know this. Our website is excelhighschool.com which is registered to our school district.
All students attending Excel High School must meet State Department of Education graduation requirements. This is not a gray area. It is black and white. All Minnesota schools must meet the required credit requirements.

Your complaints have no merit. We are a legitimate, accredited high school with a BBB A+ rating. You are upset that you needed to complete the requirements as set forth by the State Department of Education and our Regional Accreditor.
The facts are clear. Excel is absolutely a real school with a great reputation. The individual filing this complaint is mad they had to complete the required courses to graduate. High standards do not equate a scam. High quality equals exceptionalism.
We love our students!! : )

As the CEO of Excel Education Systems, I can tell you this individual is 100% incorrect with the statements and aerations he made. This review is a untrue.
First, Excel High School IS accredited AdvancED, The parent organization of The North Central Association CASI and Southern Association of Schools and Colleges CASI and the Norwest Accrediting Commission; agencies recognized by the Minnesota Department of Education, Non-Public Division. You will clearly see our accreditor AdvancED listed and recognized.

Excel's accreditation profile with AdvancED can be found at:

Excel's High School Diploma is Valid in all 50-States.
Excel's A+ Better Business Bureau can be found at:
You can see Excel's accreditation with the State of Virginia here:

Or domain is: www.excelhighschool.com and NOT excelhighschool.edu20.org.
edu20.org is an LMS (Learning Management System) a vendor.

We operate just like any public, accredited high school, so it would be nice if the people who wrote this stuff actually did some research. We can backup everything we claim, which is 100% true. Graduates from Excel High School are issued a State Department of Education recognized, accredited high school diploma which is valid for all jobs, colleges and the US Military. We issue the same accredited diploma as you get from public school.
Students must complete all credits as defined by the State Department of Education
http://www.excelhighschool.com/courses.php
The reality is that the person who wrote this fake review suggesting that Excel is a scam is totally wrong. They did not complete a diploma program from our school, or they would have a valid, recognized and accredited high school diploma. The fact is this person likely could not hack our program and dropped out.
Don't be fooled by this nonsense. Excel is the rea deal. We have thousands of satisfied graduates and an excellent record.
This review was probably created by the operator of a diploma mill to sway customers away from Excel, a real, accredited high school.
Our solid reputation and strong standing in the academic community speaks for itself. Excel is proud to serve our students and alumni. Excel High School is Regionally Accredited by AdvancED, The parent organization of The North Central Association CASI and Southern Association of Schools and Colleges CASI and the Norwest Accrediting Commission.

When I complained about it, he told me he would refund my money and withdraw me from the class and take all the credits with him. Who does that. No school takes back credit. Beware of the good reviews because you don't know where the are coming from, as anyone can review themselves. If you need your diploma, go to your local community college if you can and beware of these online schools because becoming accredited means nothing! Here is the whois lookup:
