After listening to a 45 minute spiel I said that the proposition sounded worthy of consideration and I would do so in the next few days. At that point the woman who called me started the hard sell to get an immediate commitment and when I declined she tried for a call tomorrow, and when I said I preferred Monday she became abusive and told me that they had plenty of other candidates, didn’t need me as much as I needed them and if I wanted to think about it until Monday I clearly wasn’t serious. At that point I hung up.

All of these are, of course, hallmarks of a scam. Buyer beware! A legitmate operation will let you take as much time as you want to think about a propostion to spend $6800 and will give you a call back number or contact email address so that you can resume the covnersation when you want to - these phonies did neither.

They just dig themselves in deeper

AUTHOR: Eli - ()

First I have to correct a mistatement of fact in the rebuttal: I did not approach this company, they went "resume fishing" on job sites, found my resume and approached me. This is evidently their modus operandi to find potential suckers for their scam.

Second, I made it clear that I wouldn't proceed until they answered my questions about the percentage of their "clients" they actually found jobs for and how long it took them to do that. But they insisted that I had to endure 30 minutes of drivel before answering that simple question and then they couldn't get it straight. First it was 90% in 30 days. Then it was 95% in 90 days. Whatever. Both numbers lack credibility. I would have asked them for evidence but as I said, they made themselves obnoxious before I could do that so I terminated the call

Third, I repeat my contention that this is a scam outfit. The salesperson was obviously following a script and any company that presses for an immediate decision on a $6800 investment and becomes hostile when the potential client asks for a couple of days to think about isn't on the up-and-up.

Finally, since I abhor all scams, and particularly scams that target people who might be desperate, I am in the process of reporting this company to various state attorneys general, consumer protection agencies and other authorities as appropriate. Hopefully one or more of them with supeana authority will force  these shysters to open their books and actually prove what percentage of their clientele actually get something for their money. Perhaps then they won't be so cocky.

In the meantime I repeat my warning to other job seekers: stay far away from these guys.

The company has fallen on hard times and layoffs are in store; though his job would likely be OK for a while, the writing’s on the wall; You came to us with a problem. A fear of losing your job. You have never worked with our company   but decided that the salesperson was a bit agressive for your taste. That is your perogative. But to post something that  calls our company a scam, to  post our address and url is an attempt to ruin our brand.

Any company that considers hiring you should be aware that you may post negative things about them with the simplest provocation. Eli W****, you are a very immature person. Executives are generally dignified mature individuals. Perhaps, By your actions, You have shown yourself to be the scam. With so many talented individuals, why would a company even consider hiring Eli W****.
