Bill King of Express Modular was working with my Mother and I. In 2012 a Super Storm named Sandy took her home and everything with it. All her possessions every picture you name it Sandy took it. The only thing it didn't take was her love of Jesus and hope. Well since no one can take her love for Jesus, Bill King attempted to steal her hope. You see she is living in a Gargage in Seaside Heights NJ. It's a small 40 sq. ft place. The only place she can have her companion and love Jersey Boy her Dog. In an attempt to pick out homes and no access to the Internet we requested Brochures with models of homes Express Modular sells. Bill King says they charge shipping and handling and say $20 bucks. The brochures never arrived but a charge of $2000.00 did! I refused the charge on the card but Wells Fargo said since they ( express Modular) rebuttaled. The claim I must fight them directly. On bank debit cards there is no protection for fraud. So I filled a police report and have recently notified the NJ Attorney Office. This people are crooks and need to be exposed.

Response to Customer Issue/accusations

AUTHOR: Express Modular - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 21, 2016

Mr. Guzzi was our prospective customer and did pay a $2,000 non-refundable Plan Fee to have Custom Home Plans created. A copy of the signed and dated request document that refutes his claim is attached. Acting as his own General Contractor Mr. Guzzi provided Express Modular with details for a plan that ultimately didn't work for his building lot.

Express Modular was never engaged with his mother nor had any agreement or dealings with another party in this transaction. After he informed us that the first set of plans wouldn't work for his building lot; Express Modular, at no additional charge created a second set of custom home plans. After that set was created, Mr. Guzzi decided not to build the home and demanded a full refund. All fees paid for home plans can be applied towards the purchase of a home per the terms of our agreement with him however the work was completed per the agreement which he agreed to and signed.

Mr. Guzzi then filed a dispute with his credit card company to demand a full refund. After providing all of the information above to them for review(copies of signed agreement and two sets of completed custom home plans), they agreed that Express Modular had met and exceeded the terms of the agreement and denied the dispute. Express Modular strives to be fair in dealings with each of our customers. In this case, we believe we provided multiple sets of custom home plans for the price of one and went beyond our Home Plan agreement to service the customer.

Mr. Guzzi was unhappy that we didn't refund his money after we completed the work and threatened to "get us". This report is apparently a result of that threat. These accusations he has made about a $20 fee and the story he has told about ripping off his mother are outright lies. We have all of the documentation that we have provided to the credit card company and will pursue this appropriately.
