I have been a loyal customer for the Eye Care Center in Terrytown LA for many years. The situation I am reporting is really shocking to me. I was treated so badly today by the manager - Karen. Here is my story. I purchased a pair of glasses several months previous to this encounter. When I purchased the glasses I was never notified that there was a 90 day return policy. I was under the assumption that if there was something wrong with the glasses they would make it right. They normally treat their customers very well.

I have several pair of glasses and I didnt get a chance to use the pair that I bought, and by the time I noticed there was a problem I was over the 90 day return period (that I was never told about). So I went up there and talked with Karen and honestly I have never been treated so badly in my life. Its not the money that is the problem its the way I was treated. I expected them to stand behind their work but I was treated so very badly. They didnt even try to fix the problem. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me even though I had been a good customer for so many years. I do have to say that the rest of the staff was very nice and polite but Karen really went out of her way to make this a miserible experience with her attitude. 

All I wanted was my glasses to be adjusted so I can use them, and be treated with a little respect. Nothing more.

 Yes and YOU were the soul of polietness werent you. NOT!!! Hey guess what, I wasnt even there and I can tell everyone EXACTLY what happend. Here goes.... This lady walks in with her glasses and reciept. She then proceeds to spill her story and KNOWS that its beyond the 90 day return window but goes in anyways ASSUMING that since SHE was SUCH a loyal customer that they would do the work for free. This customer is then told by the nice cashier that its beyond the 90 days and they cant do anything for her, probably pointing out the sign in front of the register AND showing the customer on the reciept where it is stated about thier return policies. This customer then DEMANDS to speak with the manager escallating the situation where no escallation is needed. The manager THEN informs this customer that they CANNOT help her and its beyond the 90 days window and that she is sorry but thats the way it is. This customer THEN gets upset and starts YELLING and making a scene in order to get thier way. When the manager informs her that she cannot act that way or she would have to leave, the customer gets EVEN MADDER!!!! Yelling and SCREAMING because they did not get thier way telling everyone how BAD that business is and what horrible people work there and how THEY are NEVER shopping there again. Due COMPLETLY to the FACT that they couldnt help her with the ASSUMPTION she had made. This customer then descides to hop online and write up a NASTY post because she didnt get her way in an attempt to use the web to cause corporate embarrassment in order to FORCE the store into giving her her way.

Get over yourself woman. YOU are a prime example of WHY businesses will no longer be flexable. You are making a a*s of yourself in the store and you are doing it as well online. You are a self entitled twit who made an assumption and since she did not get her way descides she is going to post her drivvel ALL OVER THE WEB. I am SO TEMPTED to send this post on the thier corporate offices just so they get a good idea of what the employees on the store level have to deal with. Well that and to give them the chance to go after you in civil court for your obviously one sided report that is basically a pack of lies designed ONLY to make you look like a better victim.

YOU need to accept the FACT that they couldnt help you past 90 days. YOU DID NOT DO THIS!!!!!! YOU escallated a situation BECAUSE YOU MADE AN ASSUMPTION!!!!! You didnt call before going down there. Which if you had, they could have informed you THEN if they could help you or not. But you did not do this either. No you made the cardinal sin of making a assumption and when they couldnt live up to that assumption THAT YOU MADE, you proceeded to act out in the store then you do so online. Your behaviour is truly sickening.

People like you need to smash yourselves in the face with a hammer so the rest of the world KNOWS you are a self entitled dipstick who thinks the rules of the world DO NOT apply to them. People like yourself THINK that just because you spent money someplece that they have to give you your way in EVERY instance YOU demand it. That is SOCIOPATHIC BEHAVIOURS!!!!! When are people, and right now given this posters behaviour I am sorely tempted to put them in the EQUIS/Hybrid catagory, going to LEARN that YOU are just NOT THAT IMPORTANT!!! Just because you have spent money over the years doesnt mean they get to break the rules to accomidate YOUR demands. You have blasted the manager online and you have named them and thier place of business. What you have done is WRONG!!!! I certainly hope they go after you for civil litigation because consumers like YOU need to learn a few VALUABLE lessons. The first one is....wait for it........YOU CANNOT ACT AS YOU PLEASE IN PUBLIC!!!!! YOU did not get your way, YOU THREW A FIT!!!

Grow the hell up and stop acting like a child. What you did in the store was WRONG. What you have done on here is WRONG. YOU need to learn that you are just NOT THAT IMPORTANT!!! And just to add to the burden of your own stupidity, if ANYTHING happens to the manager BECAUSE of your report, you may be facing CRIMINAL charges since you saw fit to put the managers name and place of employment out on the web for any number of very sick people to read.

PS.....Cant you READ!?!?!?! Do you NEED to be told WHEN to blink and breath as well or have you figured THAT out for yourself? The terms and conditions are NORMALLY right on the back of the reciept. You shouldnt NEED to be told about what they can do for you since you recieved the reciept. You play a VERY BAD VICTIM. The only thing you are a victim of is your assumptions and GENERAL stupidity.
