Dr Glass made it crystal clear what the benchmark should be to become one of the finest opticians in the country. His eye exam, questioning skills, health suggestions were far superior to anything I have ever had with any other professional in his field. The follow up with two his staff members on the lenses for my glasses completely shattered my ability to provide a stellar review for his practice. The customer service was so bad that I had to take my glasses back 3 times to finally have what I they said they would deliver lenses that fit the frame of the glasses.
The problems I had believe it or not it wasn’t with the younger employees that it was with the seasoned ones Rene and Mike which is the exact opposite of what normally happens in business nowadays. When I first picked out the frames they had pre installed sunglass lenses that Rene took out of the frames and handed them to me and said take home home we don’t need them. [continued below]....
Rene then said my glasses would be done in two weeks which I thought was reasonable enough. I then called in two weeks later and picked up the glasses I didn’t spend any real time looking over their work. The next day when I did look them over I noticed that the lenses didn’t fit the glasses correctly I called up Rene told her the issue she said for me to bring them back . In the mean time I looked up Eye styles for Life styles on Yelp FILTERED REVIEWS which in my opinion give a less filtered and a more honest overview of a business.
After reading the yelp filtered reviews I was shocked when I read the reviews for Mike and Rene especially. I thought to play the devil’s advocate and make sure that these yelp filtered reviews were not from some angry past employee. On Eyestyles for Lifestyles website they have reviews section that was designed by Demand Force which is a company that specializes in building a company’s reputation to generate more sales. I have an idea for Dr. Glass If your company does a good job the first time you don’t have to pay demand force to improve your reputation or lose repeat business or referral business.
Anyways I took the glasses back I purposely asked for Rene and Mike to make sure they were completed correctly which I was told I would get them back in about a week to a week and a half the way I wanted. I called Rene was busy but I was told she would call me back after one day I called Rene back to which she stated “I tried to call you back but your home and office phone number were both disconnected” which is the same response that Rene used with another customer which was also listed on the yelp filtered reviews in the past. Rene needs come up with better excuses or become a politician so you can learn how to come up with better lies.
I drove over got the glasses back didn’t notice it at first but when I got home I noticed same problem lens not fitting in the frame except it wasn’t as bad as before so I called back and brought the glasses back. This is when Mike comes in to the picture Mike then makes an announcement it wasn’t anyone in his office it that made the lenses. Mike then stated that it was the new hire in his Westminster office who was new to making lenses who was at fault. Once again I’m thinking Mike read the YELP FILTERED REVIEWS on yourself and your expert customer service!!!!!!! I asked Mike directly how I should feel about the way your company has handled the problems that I have had dealt with?
In my opinion this is when I noticed the first semi honest response from Mike “this is uncalled for and you have reason to be upset “ Well to make a long story short 2 weeks later I got my glasses back and they were finally done properly. Dr. Glass needs to spend more time in his office overseeing his employees to make sure things are done right the first time around. Dr. Glass needs to spend quality time in his office educating his older employees in common courtesy. In my opinion this entire experience reminded me of a never ending episode of the T.V. series Jackass with all the lens issues and lousy excuses. I will not do any new business with Eye styles for life styles in the future
