I needed a car very badly, told them what I could afford as far as monthly payment and of course they said "no problem" we'll get you into a car and in about 2 1/2 years it's paid off and it's yours. It advertises 500.00 down, NOT, you have to pay more money each month as if leasing from a car dealership, so this is how your payments go up, even though you complain that's not what you can afford. They get the crappiest cars from auctions, don't fix them up, hardly have gas in them, filthy. I had my car worked on because the brakes were squeeking and almost down to the floor, no air conditioning, remember this is AZ, they got part of that working. All the insides are breaking away, you have to take the car to their service center and try to find a ride home. they even had the audacity to say "can you walk to work?", or take a bus, we're not sure when the car will be ready for service. 2nd attempt, breaks are bad, I statesd to them I will hold you responsible if anything happens and you will be sued, then they reacted, got car back 2nd time, brakes still bad, then you also have the option of paying bi-weekly or monthly, they try to get you to pay weekly. Jodi is not customer service oriented and she handles the payment, stating ok, your payment is due next week? "what?" I pay this much a month, she argues, called the corporate office, spoke to George, complained about their agents, etc. He stated he would get back to me and it was a SAFETY ISSUE, well he never got back to me. don't even expect a callback when leaving a voicemail.

I will be returning the car, keys and all and leave that car sitting there, let them try to take me to court for not making the whole payment for crappy cars, with super high mileage and super high payments. Oh if you want a  car for around 360 or less a month, expect a clunker because that is what you will get. Only good thing I can say is the receptionist Brenda, who should be running the business, now that lady will go above and beyond to help you.

Repossession

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - ()

From your report, it sounds like you don't quite understand how financing works.  If you do leave the vehicle at the dealership like you say you plan to do, it will be considered a voluntary repossession. Leaving the vehicle doesn't get rid of the payment. It makes the entire balance due immediately.  Take a look at your contract. It will have a paragraph describing what penalities you have to pay and remedies available to the lender.

I am not affliated with this dealership or any dealership, but that is how all auto financing works. Read your contract. You can return the vehicle, but you still owe the money for the loan.

The condition of the vehicle doesn't impact the amount you owe after you have signed an agreement. The financing has nothing to do with vehicle repairs. In fact, the financing is a totally separate transaction from the actual purchase of the vehicle. Even if you make your payments at the dealership where you purchased the vehicle, repairs and financing are not related to one another.

Think about an alternative to getting a repo on your credit. There must be some way you can obtain the funds to repair the vehicle yourself. If you have already turned it in, then do some research on financing before you attempt to purchase any other vehicle so you know what to look for and when you are getting yourself into a bad deal. There are tons of articles showing the right way to purchase online. Research and learn, then buy.
