As I was checking my credit report on (((ROR redacted link)))I came across an item from FAF Auto in Euless, Texas and S&P Capital Investment in Hamburg, New York that I received a loan from in the amount of $9,316 and that my loan balance is $10,382. I have never heard of either of these companies and most certainly never got a loan from them. They however chose to submit to the Credit Bureau as unpaid and delinquent.

Get this the loan was for a term of 1 month. Now that this has appeared on my report it is very detrimental to my credit. These people need to be stopped!

Constructive Solution regarding S&P Capital Investments

AUTHOR: Gary - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 07, 2008

Through checking my own credit report and reading information regarding others that have had interactions with S&P Capital Investments, I have reached out to the credit agencies to determine what the company is all about. As most of you know, it is easy for creditors to file complaints against your credit, but it is very hard to even get someone representing the credit agencies on the phone to discuss disputes. This company known as S&P Capital Investments has the following contact information:

S&P Capital Investments (A Collections Agency)
1601 Airport Fwy
Euless, TX , 76040-4020
Phone: 817-358-6886
Website: www.spcapitalinv.com

The above listed information is the exact same as what Equifax, trans Union, etc. have on their system. It should also be the exact same information as is listed on your credit report. Through being determined to find out more about them, I finally found someone at Trans Union that would take my call. This is after I called my State's Attorney General and the FDIC. S&P Capital Investments use to be a collection company. It seems that they purchased a lot of old collections debts and the last known activity from them that I have found was in 2003. The person at Trans Union actually had on file that in late 2003, they filed a disolution (Going out of Business) report with all three credit agencies. This can be confimed by simply calling the number listed with them, or logging on to their website. As of today, they no longer exist.

The only active companies out there with similar names are in completly unrelated fields/industries than collections. The person at Trans Union told me that all consumers have to do is dispute the ding on their credit and it would go away, because the company NO LONGER EXISTS. I hope this helps clarify that if you see S&P Capital Investments, they are a company that is no longer in business and has not been active in 5+ years.
Take Care,
Gary
