My information was obtained by this company months ago once I filed bankruptcy to assit me with purchasing a vehicle. I was contacted a year later, but in great timing because I am now considering attempting to refinance or trade in the vehicle that I have. When speaking to the representative, Tracey, I made sure that I explained all things that I was interested in, and how I wanted to go about doing it. I mainly explained to her that I did not want my credit to be ran prior to me coming into the lot because I did not want to shock it. I am in the process of rebuilding credit, and doing pretty good, and did not want to risk having points deducted for inquires. She understood and actually held onto my application from the finance manager. She stated when I came in that she hid the application, even when he asked about it to make sure that she would be able to assist me with what was best for me. Once I got there, we looked at two cars intially. I even explained to her that I did not want to test drive, I wanted to see the numbers first on the worksheet that she discussed with me. She stated this worksheet was a basis of what we would be looking at number wise with me negative equity but did not warrant me to purchase or any hurtings to my credit. After taking the test drive (she stated her boss had to see her doing this before he would talk to me) we sat down and she began completing the worksheet. She stated that the finance manager would come and speak to me regarding all questions and the best route to take once she gave it to him. AGAIN, I made sure that they were not running my credit at this point, she stated that they were only looking at options for me.

When she returned, she returned with my FICO score from RK Chevy. I was puzzled, because we discussed pulling scores throughout the visit as well as prior to her leaving the desk moments ago. When I asked her about it she states that this was done in house and was the only company that had done so. I asked her AGAIN, in a different way to ensure that we were on the same page about not having my credit shocked, "No one else has or will pull my credit right?", and she said, "No. the finance manager is looking to get you approved through our sister company, RK." I was okay with that, and made sure she understood again, I DO NOT WANT THIS SUBMITTED TO ANYONE ELSE. She said that she understood and would be back, She returned and asked about a co-signer and having things taken care of to free up money and I told her that I could have that done but would NOT agree to a co-signer. She went away to return to tell me that I was not approved with RK, but the finance manager (who I STILL had not seen) was attempting to work on numbers for vehicles that was on his lot so that he would work with the numbers (my negative equity) so that he could absorb most of the cost.

Looked at one more vehicle, again that I did not want to test drive AND DID NOT, and again, told her that I did not want my credit ran through anyone else if he could not get me apprved through their lot. Upon walking back into the building, I received a call from Josh at GM Finance. I was okay with this, because I was told that GM was part of RK Chevy. No sooner than I could get off the lot, I received a call from Capital One Auto Finance. Family Motors had sent my credit through to a total of 14 creditors!! There are Fraud Alerts on all of my credit reports to protect me against things as such, and was only notified from four of the 14. I attempted to reach her that day, and was unsuccessful doing so. I sent her a text message, the method of which she had contacted me previously, to call me as soon as possible, I had concerns. She responded okay. I did not return that day because I was called into work.

On May 2nd, I received another call and contacted the car lot requeting to speak to the finance manager as Tracey got on the phone, I explained this to her AGAIN. She said nothing, but "I will have the finance manager give you a call". Once Charles called, he was very rude and inconsiderate. He stated basically that I would need to follow up with the credit agency's to dispute this, but because I signed a document that he had the right. I told him over and over again, that this is not was discussed and he basically took up for her. Throughout Tracey's performance, she ensured me that they were there to help me and would not do anything to mislead me. Guess that was a good way of saying, I'm going to do what I want to do!!

These people are misleading people, untrustworthy, and deceitful. I listened as another salesman was coaching a woman to purchase unnecessary warrenties on a BRAND NEW vehicle. DO NOT PURCHASE VEHICLE FROM THEM!!

I have disputed 14 of the hard inquries, contacted the BBB for proper correction, and will wait before any further action is taken. This is very wrong and horrible business practice.
