Don't fall for Fax.com's tactics. When you try to close your account, in my case due to inactivity... paying monthly for a product I wasn't using, they offer you a free month or something. The problem is, you can't get into your account afterward, Fax.com DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH YOU FOR ANYTHING, MUCH LESS THE ALL IMPORTANT ACCOUNTING ASPECT. We all need to know when someone is going to take money out of our account. When companies/people don't want to tell you when they are going to do so, there is a reason. We all get busy... if we don't know when, to late to do anything about it once they take it out. You never know when they will just take the money out of your account through your credit card. Nothing is regular with Fax.com, and there is absolutely no notice given. I just feel when they can see you haven't used the account, much less have been able to log into the account, it is good business practice to refund the money they SURPRISED you with by just deducting from your account. My intent was obvious when I attempted to close my account. Poor communications with the customer, and poor customer care upon finally having to call them to get them to stop deducting funds from my account, along with the denial to return funds removed from my account in this instant shows greed and unethical intent. Faxing service is occasionally required by home users, but when you do not have a business or regular use, Fax.com is certainly not who you want to trust giving your credit card to. Find a more reputable fax company that will let you pay as you go, or in the least has an honest intent.
