Company recruits new agents using this statement as the cornerstone of their Business: "we give you 6-10 free pre-set appointments each week to keep you in front of qualified clients instead of spending your time cold-calling trying to find someone to go see". Their presentation builds on this theme and quality of the leads.

During the closing of he presentation, the presenter switchs tune by providing two options to enter the business: Option 1 and Option 2 which are insidious ways of saying:  you need to provide leads to get leads.

Also, buried in the contract is this statement "Marketing Representative may elect to participate in the sales lead program (“Lead Program”) established by FFG, pursuant to which Marketing Representative, upon payment of a sales lead generation fee, if any (i.e., which may be free and/or refunded if certain sales criteria are achieved according to FFG’s then  existing policies and procedures), shall receive the names, addresses and other pertinent and available information of individuals, who are believed by FFG to have a possible interest in the purchase of Product (“Leads”).  Marketing Representative acknowledges FFG makes no representations of any kind as to the quality of or probability of sale to any Lead and there is no guarantee that Marketing Representative’s participation in the..."

As you can see the statement in the presentation promises 6-10 pre-set leads and the contract promises contact information of individuals that may be interested and makes no representation to quality.

Be aware, the company takes no action to refund your $287 if you want to exit after E-signing the contract.

Tried For A Year, No Success

AUTHOR: NowWiser - ()

I also entered into a relationship with the above company.  I paid the required $287 and honestly figured 'anything' is worth a small investment and everything sounded so good.  After doing the required training steps which include attending weekly meetings, going on "8-10" appointments with your regional manager which means 8-10 family/friends in the hopes that half or at least some purchase the products that are represented - and then memorizing the script - which honestly is a very good presentation, then getting myself videotaped so it could be approved - I was off and running with my "leads".

The leads have proven to be an absolute downfall.  Out of probably 100 appointments I've been on in the last year and half just about 90% of them were either broke or just refused to do business for one reason or another.  The other 10% never answered the phonecall or flat out rejected the appointment (not interested).  I guess its true that when working with the law of large numbers you are bound to get lucky sooner or later, however, unless you are like some of these "top earners" who have another job, a spouse that provides over and above an income to survive - in my honest opinion it is very difficult to make money.

Lets not forget about something also that I've thought about.  You must sign up for a contract with a phone company to have a company wide voicemail that isnt that expensive - around $50 a year - however - do the math .. $287 from everyone + $50 ..... (which the $50 would be reoccuring every year) - not a bad little side bit of income coming in.  That being said - when you fail at your lead system. (Which to me its a no brainer, when the regional or district managers 'cherry pick' the leads and you get all the 'other leads' - its impossible to make things work - which then adds up to "you" are the problem.  So back to the drawing board you go.  You dont have to pay your $287 again, however, you do have to get 're-trained' - which in a nutshell means jumping through all the hoops of doing another video etc to prove you still have what it takes.

As my name says, I'm all the more wiser now.  I've moved on.  I'm not going to bash this company however, I do not think it's all rainbows and unicorns as it seems to be painted.
