From their very first call to me, they aggressively attempted to confirm my mailing address. However, they refused to even disclose the name of the company they were calling on behalf of.

When I would ask what the call pertained to, the woman on the other end of the line stated, "Ma'am, I will NOT give you further information until you confirm your mailing address." I hung up on her. Then the calls elevated to 3 a day, of which I usually would not answer. For months this went on, where I'd randomly answer the phone to hear this woman screaming into my ear. She finally did state that her company allegedly "purchased one of my accounts" but I have no idea what she's talking about. She continued to yell and scream over me, and finally I told her maybe she'd be more effective in her job if she refrained from all the yelling.

I might have had a two week span of time where I had peace and the calls stopped. Last week he left a message stating that I had only that very day to return his call, and thereafter my account would no longer be in their office. Yet he's called twice and left a voicemail once during the last hour.

I don't know how to get them to go away. But they are persistent. They refuse to send anything in writing. They won't even tell you what they are calling in regards to. They clearly can't be trusted with your billing info.

Advice to get them to stay in line

Hi,

You should contact the ACA at ethics@acainternational.org

this is a collection agency overseer, and they really care and will do something

they will send you a complaint form- and you can ask for the company to be fined, perhaps damages for yourself, plus demand corrections to your credit file.

they are also notorious for not reporting accounts that are paid in full.

continue to show as unpaid, despite repeated attempts to get them to correct.

there is a $2500 fine per infraction.

good luck
