Fingerhut Corruption in a catalog. Are they serious? Saint Louis Missouri
Seriously? My Sprint junk phone kept dropping calls, so I went up a couple notches with the Samsung Galaxy Ace, $260 @ Fingerhut. I had possession of this phone for 5 days. Three in the shipping box, opened up at Sprint where they determined it would not sync with their system, and right back in the box to be returned to them. USPS. Insured. All parts enclosed. The tech was the only person who handled the phone.
And Fingerhut's response? Sorry, no credit. Phone has been damaged and/or shows excessive signs of wear and tear. Wait 40 minutes for a "customer representative" who speaks 10 words of English. Her first guess, "Miss ///// you had the phone over 30 days." Wrong, so wrong, so wrong. Guess again. At which point she just reads me the sentence about damage and wear and tear. Do you have a supervisor? Does anyone there speak English? No.
I may be able to sell this phone online for 1/3 what I will end up giving this horrible, horrible company. I may end up stuck with it. Either way, I have earned the right to tell everyone who reads this that Fingerhut's business practices are beyond unethical - no matter how tempting they make those low payments look, or how often the shiny catalogs arrive, avoid them like a disease. Beyond angry.
