This company will overcharge as many times as they can and they repeatedly lie about hings that are and are not in their policies.

I requested another debit card thursday (10/28/05) because my card had been lost (or stolen) and it was mailed out on Monday 10/31/05).

The customer Service agent advised me that it would be another 7-10 business days (they're favorite term) after it wass mailed out.

I noticed that they also do not print any pertinent information on their website such as CEO, Administrative offices or board of directors.

Hmmm? Kind of makes you think that they have something to hide!! I will continue to dig until I find out who owns this company and I will make iot public information on this site.

Crime Spree!!!

AUTHOR: Ryan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 14, 2005

I got an address for the parent company which is 515 Main St. in Conroe texas 77301-2505 and this is listed as the Headquarters of First Convenience bank. I did get my card on Thursday of this week and I resolved that I would be closing this account within the next week or so because I have a few checks out. I will still pursue this company for all the fees and hidden charges that I was victim to. There is a website that provides all company information to consumers "smallbusiness.dnb.com". there is a fee for getting the company's information "9.99' for limited information and up to 119.00 for indepth info. I figure we don't need in-depth information so the 9.99 deal would work. My delimma is that i have no way pf paying this fee since I have to get a notary (that reequires cash or check). Go to this website and type in first convenience, or 1st motgage of texas and it will give you the information on this unscrupulous business entity. Whe all of my cards (atm and debit) are properly restored, I will get this information myself but right this moment its not accessible for me. As I have recieved my ATM card I am required to fill out another application for the Debit card and before I can get the ATM card activated, I am required to notarize the form sent to me so in essence, I have a card that's worhtless to me, a bank account that's robbing me, and request by this bank that's unattainable for me right now. Am I stuck or what?????
I would hope that I was in some way helpful because we, as the reason these types of people stay in business, should be the beneficiaries of their business and not the victim of their business practices.

First Convenience Bank = First National Bank of Texas

AUTHOR: Tara - (U.S.A.)

You are looking for who owns FCB, it is First National Bank of Texas hq'd in Killeen Texas. Their web site is www.1stnb.com and they are also the owners of First Mortgage of Texas as well as several other DBA's. If you get anywhere with them please let me know, they stole over $8000 from me over a time period of a year when I opened a bank account with FCB in Plano Texas to allow me to get a car. I found out who they were owned by only through a fluke, a good friend of mine and the savior that kept floating me loans when they would drain my account with their fees and such lives in the Killeen area and is familar with them. The first time they did it was because my insurance hit my account twice on a $400 policy start payment by mistake which left my account short for my other bills. They charged me so much in fees that I couldn't seem to make it up so I borrowed the money from my friend. He wrote me a $2000 check on his bank account (which is ironically enough right across the street from FCB/FNB's HQ's and main banking branch) which they first credited to my account right away and gave me access to the money.

So I started to cover the bills that they had bounced back. Then three days later they pulled the deposit and bounced all those checks again. I thought maybe my friend didn't have the money in his account but when he checked with his bank they showed that the check had cleared at a point when he had over $16,000 in his checking. So he wrote me another check for $1500 and when I went to deposit it the teller asked me how I knew "John Smith" (name changed for privacy) and I told him that "John" was a close personal friend then I proceeded to ask how he knew "John" and it turned out that they went to high school together. HE REFUSED TO CASH THE CHECK WITHOUT SPEAKING TO "John" HIMSELF!!! Not because that is company policy but he thought I was ripping off his friend...which wasn't a friend at all turns out, he just knew the name from school. When I spoke to the manager about the whole situation I was informed that they had the right to refuse anyones check for any reason without verifying funds first, also that they commonly will credit a deposit on personal checks and then when they start going through the deposits freeze the funds till the check clears some 11 days later and charge you if you don't have the money to cover any withdrawls while the funds are not available and they do this without informing you the customer. When I tried to close my account they would not let me because just the day before they had charged my then $0 balance checking account the $9.95 monthly service fee and I would have to pay that before I could close the account. WHAT A JOKE! I have not seen any of the $8000+ that they took from me and since I refused to pay the service fee they have now put a mark against my credit report for delienquency. Their little rip off cost me my health, apartment, and my car.

Also don't be surprised if your account is accessed a fee for the card replacement. My bank charges a $5.00 fee. I am not sure what other bank's charge.
