I applied for and received a First Premier Bank credit card in December 2014. I used it exstensively and made over 1000 dollars in early, and on time payments to keep my available credit line open. I did this all in a 2 month period up to February 15th when they inexplicably suspended my credit priveleges without notifying me. I tried to call and investigate what was going on but they would not allow me past their automated system. I then began researching on line and was surprised and dismayed to see hundreds if not thousands of people who had suffered the same issue. They all reported that they had never been late on a payment, always paid more than the minimumn amount etc. The cases I read about said eventually they received a letter from the company stating that they (First Premier Bank) all of the sudden didn't trust the debit card the customer had been using to make payments. The letter went on to request a long list of thant and closany ings the person must do to reinstate their credit priveleges. Go to their bank and have a letter faxed on bank nletter head and several other things. In the mean time the customer was not allowed to make payment with the debit card they had always used. Customers that followed the instructions of the letter were then told it would take 30-45 days to process. This is all an effort by First Premier bank to rack up late fees during their processing time! I was blown away! Sure enough a week later i got that exact letter! They took a 290.00 USD payment off my debit card Febryary 14th, then suspended my card priveleges on the 15th saying they didnt trust the card they had billed (for the 10th time in 2 months) the previous day! I refused to play this game and went to my credit union. They somehow got ahold of the company (First Premier) and closed my account and paid my remaining 8 dollar balance. This is a very unique form of predatory lending, and they only do  it to customers who pay above minimum payment and are never late in an attempt to get fees out of them since they arent gettingn much in interest. They charged me 75.00 USD just to get the card and i only had it 2 months before they tried to scam me. I have an on going claim against them with the CFPB. If this happens to you file a claim. If you dont have this card, never get it!

The more i read your remarks the more unbelievable it is! I personally spoke to my credit union vice president!  The funds were available.  They took them. Then suspended my credit privileges after taking and keeping the payment.  What are you even talking about? I paid the card off and closed the account. I know how credit and banks work. Obviously better than you do! I have a capital one card. a real credit card. Guess what? No issues. First Premier are fraudulent scumbag scammers. If i hadn't done tons of footwork and investigation before posting this (a month after the incident, and after closing the credit account) i wouldn't have pages and pages of supporting documentation that ill be using to do anything i can to put you people out of business. Have fun with your next class action suit.

My credit union didn't deny anything. If you read i went to my credit union and talked to them about it. They said the card and the so called bank itself was not following protocols and helped me close the account. They never denied a payment to them, in fact they let them take 10 in 2 months. I did more than my part. I filed a complaint with the CFPB and guess what? It was ruled fraudulent and i was contacted by the Minnesota federal Reserve today and at their request i faxed them all the letters the scumbags sent me and other relevant documents because they are under investigation for fraud!!!. I suspect you work for First Premier or else you're just a tool. A quick google search by any simpleton reveals hundreds of complaints identical to mine,  even on this site you moron. First Premier Card is ranked as the worst financial group by every accredited organization in the country. Jesus they just lost a class action lawsuit for screwing people over 3 years ago. The only mistake I made was not researching them before signing up. It's obvious you're affiliated with them, and you don't scare me and i don't care what you say. Take your lame rebuttal and stick it up your a*s. You're a joke and so is your company.

Have you completely forgotten that YOUR BANK denies some transactions. Especially if their computer system thinks it fraud. No WHY use anything even close to common sense. No so much better to blame the credit card company when 95% of those complaints are from the customers BANK denying a payment. When that happens, they close/suspend the account. They ask for all that extra information to prove to the merchant services of YOUR BANK that each and everyone of those payment requests are REAL!!! So all YOU have done is show that YOU are ACTUALLY quite ignorant of HOW credit cards work. Which in and of itself would be ok. You don't need to know how to change a tire to drive a car. Right pedal GO, Left pedal STOP. And as a driver that is pretty much all you need to drive a vehicle. The same thing holds true for credit card companies. YOU don't need to KNOW all the ins and outs of a credit card company to USE their card. BUT!!!! Some COMMON SENSE must ALWAYS be applied when you have a issue. Did you stop to think about the WHY you were cancelled? No much easier to place the blame on someone else. Much easier to go on the web and WHINE instead of doing YOUR PART. It may have been denied due to lack of available funds, another bank issue. At the end of the day, they put in a payment request, the next day they cancel it. Im sure since you can get online you can do BASIC MATH right?? It really just looks like its between YOUR BANK and YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY. YOU are just the poor slob who is caught in the middle. So before you go on your Don Quiote style quest, make sure YOU aren't really just defaming to defame. What it means is YOU are going to have to make ALL of the calls and do some research. GET TO IT if you want to use that card. Then update your post with what ACTUALLY went wrong.
