 I bought a modular home from Fisher Housing Co. in Rocky Mount, NC when it was known as Home Headquarters. I had on-going issues with work quality and not showing up for long periods to build my home while I was still paying a construction mortgage. When home was finally done, In less than 2 years, they had to replace septic. Now, after 12 years, my roof is seriously deteriorated. In Oct. 2015, after almost 2weeks of constant rain, the rain started pouring from unfinished upstairs down into my living room, cracking the ceiling and wetting my new sofa and the carpet. I contacted Don Fisher, and he told me "after 2years, I am not responsible for anything, it's simple home maintenance." It took that long for evidence of missing "flashings around dormers" to be seen by me. Insurance co. and 2 other people said no flashings and other issues Insurance won't cover builder negligence, so me, a senior citizen had to pay $2700 to keep roof from caving in.
